that MOS is fire support specialist if that helps. I knew I wanted a combat MOS and field artillery seemed better than infantry. I've read the descripiton but I'm just curious as to what day to day will be like in a FA team.

Ok,so I came across something back around Christmas time where you could send a Christmas card to the troops that are overseas and couldnt make it home for the holidays. Well b/c of terrorists attacks/threats,the cards all had to be returned and none of the soldiers got them. I have family overseas that are in the military that I can sometimes talk to during "free" time, and they have told me that there are some of our soldiers who dont have many ppl that they can get online with. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a chat room or something like that so I can try to join and speak w/the troops. If anyone knows of any please let me know.
SERIOUS RESPONSES ONLY PLEASE!!

How do you know which group to join? I know what each branch specializes in but if you haven't had any experience, they all kind of sound the same/ I don't care which because they seem the same.
Do most people join a particular branch because it's in their families?
How can the people's attitudes be characterized in the army, navy, etc.?

(BTW- I want to work as a nurse.)

I was in the Viet Nam War , And as i watch all the troops being killed by Roadside bombs I have to wonder , What Idiot Sets up convoys without first securing the convoy route , You Know All The way back in WWII they were smart enough to do a sweep for land Mines ahead of troop advance . Do not you people Know how
to secure the roadway you are going to be travleing on ? Or Maybe your Leaders need some "leader" Training ,It doesnt seem like they Know Much about Leading .
And by the way, Who taught the soldiers to hold a weapon Like they do ? Looks like a bunch of Girl Scouts on a cookie drive.
Man You all Really Need Some Training . And i thought Pateraus
was an expert , Hmmmmmmmmm

The conditions at Walter Reed are only one symptom of a completely diseased Military/Political system that has absolute contempt for American servicemen.
The death toll in Iraq for American servicemen is closer to 10,000 than the 3,000 claimed by our government . The disparity between the two figures exists because the military will not count you as a KIA if they can get you out of country before you die .
If you suffer a severe injury and are unable to complete your terms of service , any signing bonus you received must be repaid .
The use of depleted uranium munitions are resulting in Gulf War Syndrome 2 . As always the military denies , denies , denies .
If you are wounded and forced into hospitalization , you must pay for your meals yourself .
Pat Tillman and Jessica Lynch were treated as nothing more than human resources to be used as propaganda tools for the militaries public relations . The dignity of Tillman and Lynch was less important than the militaries image .

I am not looking for personal opinions but actual definitions from a qualified source, especially if it is defined by some NATO official or the like. My question is basically this: Where does NATO promote peace and stability? The preamble reads: “They [ the parties of this treaty] seek to promote stability and well-being in the North Atlantic area. They are resolved to unite their efforts for collective defence and for the preservation of peace and security.” What does that "North Atlantic area" refer to? Does that include all Russia? (That is what I want to know) Does NATO have to promote peace and stability towards/to Russia?

Again, I am not looking for personal opinions. Links to articles, definitions, dictionaries, etc. are what I am looking for. Thank you in advance.

So we invaded Iraq with the promise of a crushing blow, by the Saddam. What exactly did the Iraqi military do and where are they? Whatever happened, the lack of heavy engagement with them did not present an easy victory. Did Saddam have the bloody anarky that currently ennsues in Iraq in mind?

what should I ask. I know he isn't for sure because I am not an idiot. His mentality is far from adequate for a SEAL, but I have to prove this to someone important to me. He could be dangerous. I need physical evidence and it will have to be asking the right questions. Any suggestions. Authentiseal is a scam, so please don't leave that info.

If someone is a navy seal will they immediately know what you are talking about when you ask them what BUD/S class they were in. I need to ask a question that every navy seal will know, but not every civilian would know of. A question undoubtebly common knowledge of a navy seal other than weapons.

I use to be in the MILITARY about 10 years ago. I am trying to relearn how to fold my clothes the way we did in boot camp/military, but having a very tuff time doing so. Could someone please assist me by linking a web site or sites that can show me how to properly do so? Or telling me books or manuals that may have it in them? Thank you so very much!
