who should have won world war two?

2006-12-07 01:24:37 · 26 answers · asked by G.T 2

They've finally admitted that its time that we pulled out our troops (2008). It only took the death of several hundred thousand people for them to realise this. With another 10 US marines dead yesterday and untold Iraqis, is this the biggest mess we've created? No wonder the whole world hates us! We've just gone into another country and made it 10 times worse then it originally was. Our troops are running scared of the insurgents and they are willing to die for their cause. What can we do?

I have noticed that on a lot of German tanks from the second world war there are roughly six cylinders (three on each side) on the turret of the tank.
Can anyone tell me what the purpose of them was?

I suspect that maybe they were used to store additional ammunition?

Thank you.

G.W. Bush and of the Sadam Hussain, none is the two equal ones, is both criminals. The republican party is to destroy the nation American, has one more time lain to the American people. It says that the war is lost, but this is lie the war was earns, the battle of the American soldiers had had victory. What it was not profit was the politica that the republicans wanted to install in Iraq. One more time the republican party committed a crime politician. The name of America for the world is to be spotted the black color the entire world each made is more to hate. Sir President of the U.S.A, G.W. Bush makes an intelligent thing in its life quits itself and has asked for to excuse to the American people and the people of Iraq for the destruction of the families and death. To the American soldiers who had died and for the families of Iraq who had been destroyed and lost familiar

Many people are demanding that the armed forces deserve better pay, but I don't understand this argument. Surely, by being a member of the army, you don't have many of the fixed costs, bills, fees, taxes and duties of your 'regular' citizen - and wouldn't your accommodation be covered by your employer when on operational duty anyhow?

If members of the Armed Forces earn 'too little', isn't this in proportion to their costs?

I hope this doesn't cause a huge argument, but I'm curious because these days everyone in the public sector is demanding bigger slices of the monetary pie - and I'm trying to establish for myself whether certain groups really deserve pay increases.

is the most pathetic demonstration of cowardice there is! i remember in marine corps boot camp, the guide and the squad leaders use to give frequent blanket parties. but there were two black recruits, from the wrong side of the track told the guide and squad leaders, if they EVER think of giving them a blanket party, all four wont make it out of MCRD in one peice, or rather, in good health. them two guys never got blanket partied, they were avoided. to me this is the biggest show of cowardice.

Me and my husband where married july 29th lats year. he left for basic training in September, came home for cristmas, then graduated at the end of January. he was home for a few months and left again in April for training to go overseas. he came home for 10 days in July, and left for Iraq. He came home for his leave in the beggining of November, and now he won't be back home untill July next year. Our daughter will turn 3 in February, and last night while we were watching tv before bed, she asked me first if she had made daddy go away. I told her no, daddy doesnt want to be away, and he misses her very much, and then she asked me if daddy was going to die. She has always reasoned at a level much older than her own, but I just don't know how to answer these questions from someone so young, and it hurts so badly. Please, does anyone have any advice on this? I just don't know what to do.

The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor began at 7:53 am (Hawaii time) this day 65 years ago. Over 2400 American servicemen died.
This attack was an incredible tactical victory for the tiny island nation of Japan. But it also sealed her fate as the human testing ground of the worst weapon ever created by man.
There was no turning back once Pandora was out of the box. My parents lived in a world where they regularily hid under their little wooden school desks from possible nuclear bombs. My uncle married a lady who as a child had been a prisoner-of-war for merely being born Japanese in Canada. And now angry, religious, testosterone driven young men are killing themselves and as many "infidels" as they can take with them.
What do you think of war? Will mankind ever be at peace or will we always have one more "day to remember" like Dec 7 or Sept 11?
