If he pulls out then Iraq will have full rain of terrorism in it's own domain and that's not good. If the bad parties fighting in Iraq gains control over the whole country then they will try to move on to other areas and take over. If we pull out of Iraq and bomb it, we are going to kill millions of innocent people that don't deserve to die, and then we will be hated by more than just Iraq. It's a catch 22 any way we go, so the best thing right now, even though most Americans don't agree with it, is to stay right where we are until a resolution can be found for the situation.

The president cannot do anything to fix Iraq without the entire world being on the same page. No matter what he decides to do will be condemned by the democratic party. The whole thing has become way to political for any one man to solve. If it was up to me I would arrest Sadr, the cleric responsible for at least half of this mess. I would then start at one side of Baghdad with 20,000 US and 20,000 Iraq forces empty out the city once and forall. Until we have peace in Baghdad, the Iraqi people cannot move forward. I would tell the Iraqi government that if they chose not to fight we will leave their country in 6 months.

If Iraqis are smart they'll get rid of the crisis, forget the differences and form a union. If they stand on their national interest they can find a solution even with the help of the USA. But unfortunately in islamic countries either there will be despotism or slavery under another country's intellect (say USA)., because they're not learned to think freely and take a decition under the tiresome unrealistic religion.
What bush do perhaps he'll divide iraq to save his face.
even he didn't do it its going to be another base for the US today or tomorrow.
which country doesn't have a US base in the middle east.?
Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Saudi, KUWAIT.....what else you want ?
do you think they leave so easily ?

Why don't we see with the panal recommends that bump that up against what the pentagon already knows and then let the Presidents advisors look at all the input and make a decision. I don't have the inside scoop and I suspect there is no one out here on this site that does either.

He should train the Iraqis quickly. Let the Sunnis and Shittes have at it if they really want a democracy. Get our troops out of there, we are going to need them on the homefront to guard our own borders and ensure domestic tranquility.

This country isn't like afghan where people are actually working and trying to make a better country. No Iraq refuses to help out and is too busy killing each other. So I say let them go do there own thing. But warn them that if they let terrorist in after we are gone we will nuke. No questions asked just nuke.

Bush needs to put aside all his pride, honor and ego towards Iraq.
I'm not defending Iraq or America or whatsoever it is....
I'm just saying here that pride, ego, self-dignity and honor often lead people and everything to the worse.

I know you people are going to "hate me" for this;
But,
a) I think the President should have a closed meeting with
Saddam
b) Tell him it was all a big mistake, and that he has "fired already"
sorry; (I mean all that were responsible for that have already
resigned...LOL)
c) Put him back "in charge" of the Iraqis.
and "finally",
Get our troops out of there.?
