WOW YOU ARE ALL SO IGNORANT AND ARROGANT!
If Adolf Hitler had won the war he would only have Europe. He would have a country in PERFECT ORDER.
Now look at your country, look at your life now... How many people were put in jail today?
How many people were murdered?
Hitler did what he thought was best for his country.
If you are too ignorant to understand this than I salute Hitler for his efforts.

The Allies. The only way the Axis could have won would have been a quick smashing victory in Europe. By the time the US entered the war, the Axis was spread to thin to defend its new frontiers. When the US entered the war, the Allies had enough troops and firepower to push the counteroffensive, and there was little the Axis could do about it.
I once heard that it was Russian blood, British tenacity, and American money that won the war--while that is a simplistic analysis, it is basically true. Failure by the Axis to take either Russia or England by the end of 1942 meant that it was pretty much over for them, and only a matter of time until German forces would be pushed back. There were a couple tactical errors by the Germans on the Russian front and in Africa, and the amazing air defense put up by the RAF in England were just icing on the cake. Even if Germany had taken Moscow and had more success in the air war against Britain, a cross-channel invasion would have been next to impossible, especially if the Germans were trying to fight on two fronts. Add the US to reinforce, and the Allies went from a tenacious defense to a swift offense.
In the Pacific, it was the US's military industry that won the fight in that theatre. At the start of the war, every navy in the world was outmoded--they focused on battleships when they built their navies, but when fighting began it became apparent that submarines and aircraft carriers, which had significant speed and unforseen striking ability advantages over battleships, were the navy of the future. Only the US had the industry to build the new navy of WWII, and won the war in the Pacific theatre almost singlehandedly. 90% of Japanese merchant marine, and half the Japanese navy were sunk by US submarines alone, and over 30% of the Japanese navy was sunk by aircraft carriers and their support craft.
To all the Hitler haters: While I don't like genocide or Hitler much either, please realize that the Allies, specifically Stalin's goverment, participated in genocide as well--killing almost twice as many Jews as Hitler. While he never got as organized about it as Hitler, moving people into death camps and such, Jewish people in Russia had no idea when their house would be busted into and everyone inside killed.
As any Axis & Allies player knows--if the Axis doesn't win quickly, it doesn't win.

Hello, As the old redneck character Archie Bunker would say, you need some altitude adjustment: 1) Brits lost 2? Not quite. The war of 1812 was considered a draw by most historians. Borders remained the same, an invasion of Canada failed terribly; true you won the Battle of New Orleans but got Washington thrashed and burned. 2) Winning WWII was a joint effort by many nations. It was American industrial might that certainly helped win it and you did have blacks, Jews and Hispanic Americans involved. 3) Your Civil War has never ended really. Last man on the Battlefield, yes but the old differences and resentments still linger. What are are the Confederate Battle Flags still doing flying around and plate slogans that say, save your confederate money cause the south'll rise again! I see Colonel Forester's KKK are alive and well. 4) As for minority population growth the whites have only themselves to blame. Bigger houses. cottages, time shares, fancy cars and investment portfolios in place of the bigger families they had two generations back. Cheers, Michael Kelly

I tend to agree with Tattie_Herbert, who says that nobody wins wars.
If the Second World War was fought on moral grounds (a debatable premise, particularly if you think about the involvement of the Soviet Union), then in terms of nation states the United Kingdom should have won. The United Kingdom and the British Commonwealth was the only power to fight fascism continuously from 1939 to 1945. But with the exception of the Soviet Union, Britain lost more of her assets than any other nation. Apart from the hardships her people suffered during the war from rationing, because of the need to convoy food, and enemy air attack on civilian targets, Britain suffered after the war through less generous aid than to Western Europe and through continued rationing. The United States should also have won, as it did, because it provided the money.
If democracies are going to play their part in keeping the world peaceful, they must be fairly treated when they do so, both in respect to fair contributions and to a fair democratic share in the decision making concerned. Until this lesson is learned, and the case of the UK both now and after World War Two shows that it has not been, nobody has won the Second World War. Because, as the founding of the United Nations shows, World War Two should have been one for individual freedom and for democracy, not for any nation state.

If you're counting losses and sheer gutsy determination from the military and civilians, then my vote is for the former USSR - and no, I don't agree with what Stalin did. The USA came in towards the end having made a lot of money selling arms to Germany. Anyway, John Wayne won the war single handed and he's dead.

Hmmm, would you rather live the life you have now, or, would you like to live in a world where people are murdered every day and thrown on piles of human bodies, gassed in chambers and excecuted, seperated from their families, never to be seen again, be banished from your own country because you don't have blonde hair and blue eyes, and have all mentally / physically disabled people shot, because they are a burden on society? Just because you believe in what you believe in?
No my friend,,, If the other side had won, you would not have been able to ask that question today, or any other day...

The side which didn't oppress its people or kill people for their beliefs or hair and eye colour! Basically the side which did win, the Allies!
Chulita, you have watched too many Hollywood War films. The Brits were in it for the whole and yes the USA made a big input and we are grateful for your part in it all, you should acknowledge the other nations which were part of the Allies.
You should thank thost that fought for us for giving you the right to ask this question. They gave their tomorrow so that we could have our today and we should be grateful for that!

The Allies Obviously.
Hitler had all the aces at the start of the war, best weapons, best tactics best generals. It was his stupidity which ensured German defeat. Even as late as 43 he had a war winning weapon, the first Jet aircraft, and he personally intervened to delay its introduction.
What a looser!
Chulita it was nice of you join the rest of us 1/2 way through the conflict
Roch cop Quisling was from Norway

By 1945, the Axis had lost 12 million soldiers and civilians, the Allies lost over 50 million. Can you call that winning?

If it's in terms of who had the best trained and the most cause devoted armed forces then the Axis really should have one. Fortunately for the Allies their leader was a mentally unstable egotistical maniac who shouldn't have been allowed to run a jumble sale, never mind a country!
