Oh, I would say a far bigger lie in American history was..
"I did not have sex with that woman."
Mission Accomplished was an unforutante premature message sent out to the world but it was not an intentional lie.

It is a perfect example of how politicians think.
Most of them have been sitting in an office in Washington D.C. for so long that they forgot what the hell goes on in the real world.
Most of them are also not Veterans, and if they are, they never served on the ground as a grunt because they were taken care of by Daddy's rich political friends.
Their mission was on paper on a desk somewhere. The troops mission (yet never really explained to anyone) is still ongoing.
All politician's children should be drafted first, that way they would start to think about the people having to do the dirty work for a change.

It was not a lie, the mission was to fuc.k Iraq and that was accomplished. Iraq is well and truly Fuc.ked. as for a lie, there were many many more and worse lies, eg We know Iraq has Weapons of Mass Distruction. That was a lie and hundreds of thousands of people have died because of it. Clinton's lies stained a dress. Bush's lies stained and discredited a nation.
More big lies? the federal reserve is a lie for it is not federal. income tax has to be paid is a lie as it is voluntary and unconstitutional and the forms you need to fill in are legally invalid. look it up. the 911 commision report is full of lies hidden in the truths within.
The Democrats and Republicans have built their entire platforms on a bed of lies, deception and corruption.

True it was the biggest lie in American history because it caused countless and futile deaths of American soldiers and people from many other countries.
I find it hilarious that republicans still find "I did not sleep with that women" much more terrible. Because we all know that a BJ had severe repercusions like thousands of our troops dying.
"But, but, he lied under oath" Well why do you care about that? Everybody lies, whether they're under oath or not, it's human nature. People should not be judge by what they do and where but only from the outcome. So once again, lying and causing the death of many people for no good reason is still greater then lying about a BJ that didn't kill anyone.

The Mission to overthrow the Saddam government was accomplished. The president never said the war was over. In fact he always has said that this war will take along time. It is not like any war we have had to fight before.

False.
"I did not have sexual relations with that woman." Said directly and then under oath. Clinton's law license was suspended for 5 years for pleading guilty to perjury, so he admitted that was a lie.
"Mission Accomplished" was to remove Saddam. It is as much as lie as "V-Day" and "V-J Day." After all, we declared victory over 50 years ago in Germany and Japan and still have a military presence in both countries.

No, it was not a lie! Bagdad fell, mission accomplished. Don't blame the military because civilians had no idea of what to do next.
