i know she was discharged from the service but does anyone know how she is doing or what she is doing nowadays. Just curious.

She is in college, expecting her first baby.
I wont defend the media frenzy that followed her, but I will defend her. She did more than most people by simplying joining the US Army, and I fully respect her for that choice. She did not choose, however, to get attacked, she did not choose to to be taken prisoner, nor did she ask for the fame that came about because of those events. She repeatedly tried to explain what really happened and set the record straight.
She went through alot more than most people will ever know or feel. She lost friends and comrades in that incident. She was both physically and mentally wounded.
People should not be bashing her, but the individuals that turned the whole incident into a media circus.

She is pregnant with her fiance's baby, last I heard. I wonder what happened to her innocence? Her mom and dad just went on and on about how she was such a good girl. How come she is knocked up and not married? Just curious myself. I won't go into what I think about her. I don't think she deserved anything more than a medal. She did nothing special. The guys who rescued her on the other hand are all heroes. But unfortunately looks are more important than heroism these days, esp. in the media. Does anyone here even know the names of the guys who saved her stupid butt? No, because you never hear about them. She joined the military to get out of BF West Virginia, and to get the benefits of a college education. That tells me something about her character..

She was awarded the Purple Heart, Prisoner of War, and Bronze Star medals by the Army. Jessica has completed her freshman year of college studies and is expecting a child.
She was just a patriotic girl from the heartland who wanted to serve. More than can be said for most leftys.

I am personally not fond of Jessica Lynch. I find her cowering under her truck as her partner picked up a m-16 and died defending the truck. Her allegation about being raped was unfounded considering she was given special treatment and was protected under the Geneva Convention and got a free ride in a hospital. She got rescued by spec ops, some of whom died doing it. The women got special attention because she was a women, she did nothing courageous, all she became was a beacon of activists because they believed she was representing the female race. There are many brave women in the service today that deserve far more than what Lynch received.

When is my Uncle or Cousin going to get sent home? They both have been there 3x.....Both have been shoot at, IDE flipped my cousins tank...He got busted up pretty good. My Uncle's hummer got hit by an RPG. He is in the Hospital now.
Jessica Lynch gets captured then rescued by Special forces..All be she was a woman....Seee....why women should not be on the front lines...Or anywhere near...Taking supplies to the front lines etc etc....
I swear: Jessica Lynch suffered a third of the wounds and mental pain that front line soldiers see everyday...But , she got the gift of ARMY love pinned on her chest for what...America needed a HERO that bad: FIND a NEW HERO..
Do not get me wrong here: She survived and served the country...But, h#ll, her wounds were not grievous nor does she have a disability....My cousin will most likely lose a little mobility in his arm and shoulder. But, he is headed back to his tank division. She got a free ride and discharge.

who cares? everyone made a big deal about her being captured but noting was said about the others that were killed when she was taken or the fact that it wouldnt have happened had they properly taken care of their weapons!!!!!!!!
