The other night Croc Dundee was on TV, haven't seen it for years,, in the opening shot there is a wide shot of New York and the dominate feature is The Twin Towers,, it struck me while watching the movie(shot in 1984) how much the world has declined ,, and how innocent we were back then,, It seemed that the towers and the loss of those towers was the beginning of a whole change of life for a generation of people who knew only good times and peace,, do yo see the changes too

As long as there are crazy people that want to kill for their pshycotic beliefs that we need to stand up to them? God I spent 30 years in the Marines fighting not only for Americans freedoms, but a lot of other countries. You people that do not support our troops really piss me off! If you don't agree with the war in Iraq, Afganistan and all the other places our young men and women are fighting in, then that is your right as an American, That's what they are fighting for, but my God at least support them! They are putting there lives on the line every day to keep terrorists from creating another 9-11! The fact that some of you can't understand that saddens me and weakens all the sacrifices of the Americans that have given their lives for your freedom. With that said I want to thank the Brits for the great work they have done uncovering the latest plot to kill innocent people, Thank you! And to all my brothers and sisters out there fighting for us, God bless you. We care, Semper Fi.

I'm in the Army right now, been in for nine years, but the regulations keep changing. Can you shave your head BALD after you're in the Army? I know it's in the AR 670-1, but it always changes and www.usapa.com (where the Army Regulations can be viewed) doesn't seem to be working right now.

Reason Being: My girlfriend thinks shaved heads are sexy.

Would a single, 26 year old Sergeant in the Marines be allowed to live off base? Somebody told me that if you are not married then you are required to live on base. Is that true?

A Tear in Your Eye Subject: A Tear in Your Eye This may put a lump in your throat and a tear in your eye. (Hopefully, it will.) The daughter of a Soldier Last week I was in Atlanta, Georgia attending a conference. While I was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and witnessed one of the greatest act's of patriotism I have ever seen. Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camo's, as they began heading to their gate everyone (well almost everyone) was abruptly to their feet with their hands waving and cheering. When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and cheered for it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red blooded American who still loves this country and supports our troops and their families. Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so we can go to school,

I made a website on myspace.com specifically for Military wives trying to conceive, since I couldn't find a website pertaining to the situation that a military wife has to go through. I put it there so she can ask questions about referalls/ Tricare/ treatments. Anything you have question on. Please feel free to join on in. THanks.

Has anyone out there looking for a job noticed these types of ads that say, CONSTRUCTION WORK, or POSTAL WORK, or FIREFIGHTERS WANTED, and they all say they provide training, etc., and ask for people age 17+, willing to travel, in good physical condition, high school grads...

and the 1-800 number is a regional navy recruitment office.

anyone ever seen this?
I know it happens not just in my local paper but all around the country from a quick google search.
is it legal? opinions?

by the way, the navy recruiter I talked to the first time I called when looking for a job said that they put "firefighters wanted" because anyone working on a ship learns how to put out a fire.

I think it would have been better to have kept the atom bomb technology a secret, regardless of what people think about notions of ending the war quickly and saving american and other lives, the idea is ridiculous.

My fiance is currently training in Oklahoma for the National Guard. He left on July 18th ... When he was first able to get ahold of anyone and give out a mailing address, it was wrong. I had sent out a letter to him during the last week of July and it got sent back for having this wrong address. SO! When he wrote me, there was his address - plain and simple. So I copied it down and used it to mail him more. Ever since that last week in July, I've sent him 3 letters and he still hasn't got a single one... He wrote me again today and I compared the addresses - they're the same and all but one has appreviations & one has the words fully written out. One has just his last name, the other has his last name AND his first name ...

So what the hell ? Can somebody tell me what the f*ck's going on 'cause it really pisses me off that he hasn't got ANY of my letters? He told me that he got stuff from his Grandma - her and I have the same address to write to! Anyone know??
