My fiance is currently training in Oklahoma for the National Guard. He left on July 18th ... When he was first able to get ahold of anyone and give out a mailing address, it was wrong. I had sent out a letter to him during the last week of July and it got sent back for having this wrong address. SO! When he wrote me, there was his address - plain and simple. So I copied it down and used it to mail him more. Ever since that last week in July, I've sent him 3 letters and he still hasn't got a single one... He wrote me again today and I compared the addresses - they're the same and all but one has appreviations & one has the words fully written out. One has just his last name, the other has his last name AND his first name ...
So what the hell ? Can somebody tell me what the f*ck's going on 'cause it really pisses me off that he hasn't got ANY of my letters? He told me that he got stuff from his Grandma - her and I have the same address to write to! Anyone know??

Military mail is very slow. I don't know why her mail is getting through and not yours though. You do need to have first and last name though. Rank helps alot too. Be sure to use the addy that he gives you. They won't look for the right unit to give it to, it'll just get lost or come back to you.

I'm in the Military, and was deployed to the Middle East. Most mail there took about six weeks to get there. I don't know what it's like now. But try and be patient.

The militarys mail system is also known as "snail mail" Be patient, it will get to him someday.
