As long as there are crazy people that want to kill for their pshycotic beliefs that we need to stand up to them? God I spent 30 years in the Marines fighting not only for Americans freedoms, but a lot of other countries. You people that do not support our troops really piss me off! If you don't agree with the war in Iraq, Afganistan and all the other places our young men and women are fighting in, then that is your right as an American, That's what they are fighting for, but my God at least support them! They are putting there lives on the line every day to keep terrorists from creating another 9-11! The fact that some of you can't understand that saddens me and weakens all the sacrifices of the Americans that have given their lives for your freedom. With that said I want to thank the Brits for the great work they have done uncovering the latest plot to kill innocent people, Thank you! And to all my brothers and sisters out there fighting for us, God bless you. We care, Semper Fi.

You've said it so well. I don't believe that you can support the troops, but not support the war. War is what the troops do, it's their job. We know this when we sign on the dotted line. No, nobody wants to really go, but you always know it's a chance. These people can't understand....they don't want to understand. They see one side and that's all. Facts have nothing to do with their way of thinking or reasoning. I just love the "brain washed" theory. How pitiful that people actually protect their freedoms and all they can say is that the people that protect that are brain washed. I think the only ones brainwashed are the ones that fall for this biased propaganda.

Anyways, thank you for what you've done. My hubby has been in 18 years and deployed to the sandbox 3 times so far. I stand by him and am honored to be his wife.

Good luck with all you do and God bless!!

Its you who do not understand. People support the
troops and I am not from America and I get that. Its
just that they do not like war. No one likes war. They
do support the troops. Everyone supports the Afganistan
offensive and every nation has been ready to help ( You
forgot its not just the Brits the Japanese and Indians have
gave a lot for Afganistan just not Iraq). But the thing is
that nobody supports Iraq or little do. The whole world including
CHINA America's enemy was ready to help and
every country was willing to give some troops but the U.S
attacked Iraq and it made a lot mad like the French
and Indian. As civilians do you really know how it feels to
watch soldeirs die on TV for a cause not fully Understood yet?
Im not abusing or anything but nobody likes to watch the massecre of soldeirs dead there.

I hear ya loud and clear! It’s really pathetic that there are SO many deluded people in this country. Good grief, one guy (not from the USA) even threw in that ‘the government crashed those planes into the WTC so they could ‘remake’ the Middle East’ theory. How can ANYONE be so stupid???

Please know that there are PLENTY of us patriots who BLESS each and every one of the BRAVE men and women, who have and are serving this great country. I pray EVERY day for the troops safety and safe return home and I’m so THANKFUL for men like yourself, willing to risk your life for the safety and freedom of EVERY American, even the ‘clueless’ ones.

Like I said in another post (or answer), I wonder how MANY buildings have to be destroyed, how MANY people have to die, how MANY more attacks will it take before those blind people REALIZE that this is a REAL war (the war on terrorism) and sometimes that means going OUT THERE and destroying THEM, before they come into your country and destroy YOU.

Try not to let yourself get dismayed. Not everyone will understand nor will everyone care. But there are hundreds of thousands of us who DO (and we ARE the majority)!

God Bless you and your family.

First of all... Thank you for what you have done for this country!! I feel it a privilege to even get to say that, because I don't think we say it enough. Anyway, I do not support the war in Iraq and I still have not figured out what people think it has to do with 9-11, but I do support the troops. In fact, I love them so much that it kills me when I hear the "fallen heros" stories every night on the CBS evening news. I want our young men and women home. I think our government made a huge mistake and has our kids trapped there now. I love our troops... I just don't love that we are fighting a ridiculous war. Please don't get it twisted. I don't think any sane American blames the troops, hates, or disrespects them... We just want them home. It's like...Fight the good fight. Fight a fight that is worth dying for... not some bs thing 12,000 miles away in a country that has little effect on our country. John comes home with no legs... for what? What did it do for our country? Or John doesn't come home at all.. his family is devastated.. his young baby never has a father... for what? God Bless the troops, but Lord let them come home soon and in one piece. Amen. Peace :)

if you ask me crazy people dont have anything to do with it because if it did we would have been somewhere besides iraq i support every step that our troops make but i do not support the step that bush made when going to this war in iraq all the war in iraq has done has been to kill lots of people lots of americans that did not deserve to die.if our so called president had any guts he we do something about the real problem that we are faceing and that is iran and north korea we know that they have nukes soo why not do something about what we know instead of what we think.

i agree 100%

the war on terror isnt going to go away, thers no reasoning with exremists in any shape or form of any religion. The muslim extremists dont want the west dead, they dont want jews / christians dead.... the want ANYONE that isnt supporting islam dead -

There is NO reasoning with these people

and that is why i am 100% behind every troop out there from any country that is honestly trying to make the world a safer place for all.

I agree wholeheartedly. I would emphasize that while disagreeing with your governments policies and voicing that opinion is the right of every American, common sense demands that you exercise discipline with your freedoms while Americans are in harms way.

Well said, but save your breath..............there are people on this forum that have absolutely No perspective or a concept of relative magnitude.
To them all things unpleasant (like certain realities) are bad -bad!
Accidental collateral damage by the US is on par with gov't sponsored beheadings, etc.
So many people have earned nothing in their lives, so they implicitly believe that all things are DUE them without sacrifice or effort. "My freedom to abuse freedom should be ....well........free!"
You will not get through to them, but God bless you for trying!

as a brit i have no support for soldiers under western governmental systems as sign up is mainly voluntary, although brainwashing does play a part. what would you feel if you discovered your (and mine) government orchestrated the whole 9/11 thing in order to send the likes of yourselves to reorder the middle east if not just for the resources but mainly to control the spread of the fastest growing faith although i personally believe its all in the name of capitalism. Do you believe that you are expendable?

also whats all the abuse of Afghans and Iraqi prisoners all about? are you deeply ashamed of all the tremendous atrocious behaviour your colleages inflicted upon the people? iam ashamed to be british the western ppl are truly evil, maybe the odd individual are humane but the majority are ignorant of the truth. my advice to you would be to try and find out the truth and stop thinking about being a hero.
