Because attacking NKorea would be the last thing the US ever did. After all, what country protects NK's northern border? Yep, China. And the chinese could kick the ever loving crap our of the USA without raising a sweat.
That is why Bush will rattle the saber for a bit, scare everyone into trying to vote for the GOP again (sorry buddy, you can only cry wolf so many times) and then lapse back into a booze and cocaine induced coma.
So to those of you calling for NKorea to be turned into a "parking lot" try not to think ok? Clearly, you're very bad at it.

He live on Cass street in Mt Clemens and was just told he had to go to Iraq. He was at the Big Boy restaurant in Mt Clemens and was crying, along with his family, as he sat waiting for his food. I could hear him talk. He was saying " OH Why!! Oh Why did I vote for Mr Bush? Boo Whoo...The war is worthless!! sniff Sniff!! I'm going to get my butt handed to me by the rag tag insurgents!! Boo Whoo...Sniff...Sniff!! I don't want to be a Marine. Boo Whoo....Then he said "Wait!! Canada is only 10 miles away!! Hi Ho Silver!!!! Awaay I go!!! The Marine quit crying and ate his food and off he went after throwing his hat ( Marine Cover ) in the trash. The Marine "River Danced" all the way to his car with family next to him. I do wish him well. I wish him the best life ever.

Yes they do have one thing in common. They both have been handed their butts to them by the enemy. Soon they will have two things in common. They will both have lost the war.

I'm on felony probation for poss. of a cont. substance. I have been on for 3 of the 5 years. I have never been in any trouble before or since. Since I have completed over half of the sentence and have done all that was asked of me, is there any way I can be allowed to go to the Army?

How many men & women of the military really thought that they would have to kill someone in the fight for America's rights??
My father, a Proud Marine, fought in the Vietnam War. He never really talked about it but when he did, he said that he remembers killing one person in particular and that was to save his life & the lifes of two wonderful men. One which lost both of his legs because he stepped on a land mine. He begged my father & the other man to leave him and save their own lives but my father refused and so did his companion. All 3 made it back to the campsite and the one that lost his legs, died a few days later.
God Bless America!!!!!!!

Why is it that all we see and hear is people and groups like Cindy Sheehan protesting the war and the USA. Why don't these same people protest the terrorists and IED and the rape and murder of women and children or even the treatment of our own captured soldiers by these terrorists.

I'm not saying that we are perfect or that the military hasn't made mistakes. I'm just wondering why people haven't protested against people like Osama or Kim Jung and supported those that can't help themselves instead of those who are, for right or wrong, trying to help the downtrodden..

I am not saying not to protest or to exercise your right to. I am refering to the fact all we see is people protesting the USA and the military.I myself think that they should be just as passionate in their protests against the terrorists and the horrors they inflict.

It is just a plain fact that you never see or hear of them protesting the other side of things. It is always how bad we are in the USA.

Seriously. How has it made us more secure, or in a better dipomatic situation?

I do know that:
-- It has cost nearly 2,540 American lives.
-- It has cost $920 (and counting) for every American citizen -- man, woman and child.
-- It has alienated our allies.
-- It has galvanized our enemies.
-- Extreme clerics and Mullahs will us the ivasion of a Muslim nation as propoganda to get new terror recruits.
-- It has increased anti-American sentiment to unprecedented levels.
-- It has not caught the people responsible for 9/11.

But what has it done to make our nation better off? Sure Hussein was an eveil tyrant. Does that mean we ignore the UN and bomb every evil tyrant in the world?

Please, can a pro-war person tell me why we should have waged this war. Don't tell me it's because Hussein "broke resolutions." Breaking resolutions is not the basis for war. That's still a juncture where you use diplomacy.

If there was no significant outcry in the U.S. calling for immediate pullout. And the media was not sensationalizing and pointing out every single attack that the insurgents make, would there still be an insurgency now?
Would insurgents still do what they do now if they had no media to play to, and no "pull-out now" crowd in the U.S. to motivate their actions? Why or why not?
I know many in the U.S. have strong feelings about this war, but please be thoughtful and honest with this answer. Thanks!!

My husband has always wanted to join the marines. He wants to support his family (me and our 12 month old daughter). He wants to serve his country and feels that something is missing in his life and feels this would be a good experience. Our concerns are about money he is the breadwinner and I stay home with our daughter. I have found the pay scales on line and that alone wouldnt beable to support us. How does housing and bills and everything else work? I have read about different allowences (housing, clothing etc) We want to make sure this is something that can support us while making his dreams come true. Any advice or experiences would really be appreciated I am looking for the truth don't sugar coat it if it isnt a good idea or doesnt seem like it would be a good move for our family. please let me hear it. Thanks to everyone who takes the time to answer seriously.
