Hey, if I was a Marine and I just found out that I"m going to die for either absolutely nothing or to make some rich bastard richer, I'd cry like a baby too. I want my death to mean something, to benefit the world, not let it go to waste like that.

You really pissed some people off with this question.
I am not sure why he was crying. Maybe it had to do with the news from Iraq that "troop" Stephen D. Green planned the executing of an Iraqi family so he and other troops could rape and murder a young woman they had been eyeing at a traffic checkpoint.
Court officials said Green will have a preliminary hearing and a detention hearing on July 10 in Charlotte, and will then be brought to Louisville to stand trial.
That is pathetic and sad...

Why was the Coasty crying, you see Erudite was someone the Coasty didn't know who got in trouble on the water, the Coasty was called upon to go out and save his life. But the Coasty got scared and realized that his own family was at home and that he could be playing hoops with his friends. So the Coasty started to cry thinking that he might die tonight, so he got in his car and took off to Canada leaving poor Erudite to die without ever having the chance to make amends for his foolish mockery of a Marine.

The funniest one yet. Thankyou for making me smile on a very grey Friday....
Next time I go to Michigan I am going to book out a whole day to sit in that Big Boy because it sounds like a Broadway caberet every day.
Now the really funny bit will be all the angry Anti Bush / Anti War / Anti Bedtime crew who believe the story.

My BS detector just shot to the top of the screen. I would say nice try, but it really doesn't qualify. Try taking a writing class or something, you'll starve if you try to make a living producing stories for publication. I served 6 yrs in the USMC to protect wothless little squints like you and to insure you have the freedom to dish this kind of crap out. I gotta great idea, why don't you go to Canada yourself and make America a better place. You'll fit in up there.

i did not watch it, yet enable the Marine cry... damn! perhaps it really is because he's in a conflict many miles far flung from his kinfolk, friends, loved ones and, definite, mom too. perhaps it really is because he had merely lost a number of his fellow friends/troops. ... i did not understand in case you've been making exciting of this Marine or in case you've been truly worried or some thing. The "Did he pick his mom?" made it sound like you wanted to make exciting of him. ... So, anyhow, in case you've been truly worried and did not advise any damage, sorry about my reaction, yet in case you weren't f--ok you! it truly is all...

If he was stupid enough to join the army, then he gets what he deserves: a one way trip home in a box or a bag.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
