RAMADI, Iraq - A bomb blast killed at least 15 people and wounded 56 Monday in the main market in the predominantly Shiite city of Hillah, police said. The U.S. military, meanwhile, said a two Marines died of wounds suffered in combat in Anbar province, the most dangerous region of Iraq. It was noted the Insurgents pushed back the U.S. Marines at one point and, as an Iraqi official said, "The Marines are losing their touch".

I'm not sure if I can handle THAT long of a distance in a long distance relationship. Especially if his life is being put in danger every second of the day. So I guess my question is: What should I do? I really like him and believe it could turn into love if we stayed together but I have a lot of stress in my life already and I'm not sure if I could handle the added stress!

I recollect reading, I'm not sure where, that the politicians expected Eisenhower to wrap up the invasion of Europe in 1944.

There were several reasons why the Western politicans needed to knock Germany out of the War quickly. We were lucky the V2 rockets didn't have a nastier payload, if we had beaten Germany in faster we could have liberated Poland (which was after all the reason Britain went to war) instead of handing it over to Russia domination, and of course we could have diverted forces against Japan.

On 30 May of 2005, I was assaulted and battered by my spouse who is a senior officer in the military, I filed an injunction against him, but I had no support from the base legal systems, his commander, nor the local government agencies for the assault. In fact, my husband was advised by his commander to file for a divorce the day after the assault occured. This made things very difficult for me. The base housing was pressuring me to move out of the residence, with no money, no support, I ended up asking the judge to withdraw the injunction. I got back with the abusive husband and the emotional, verbal and economic abused continued. Can I retract and file charges against him now on the assault that occured the year before? Left the husband and now completely abandoned by the system and the military.

To my view, war against terrorism is not something that can succeed, instead it will bring more animosity and inbalances between Muslim Umma and european countries more especially united state/britain. To the Muslims this is not war agains anybody other than Muslims generally. Do not decieve yourself beleiving that Muslims agrees that america is waging war against so-called terrorism. That is why in most Muslim countries, americans a viewd as enermies. They are being targetted in many Muslim countries.

The reason why I say that i am in doubt whether war against terrorism could succeed is that: This intention bring up new terrorist groups alover the world. Imagine you are among Iraqis that parents, son, doughter, brother was killed brutally by invaders (americans) how will you feel, will you forgive them? They said they want to free you, is this a freedom, while hundred of thousands of your countrymen are killed, your houses destroyed brutally, and your inmates are being tortured.

ok I respect your question , although I feel it is wrong of anyone to catergorize these soldiers as if every soldier is some psycho who will eventually be a public enemy just as if I would feel it were wrong for anyone to catergorize people of different races, religions, and so on but answer this for me....if these men were serving america and had psychological problems stemming from doing so than would'nt you say that america let them down by not getting them the professional help that they obviously needed? Way to take care of our own, would'nt you say? Secondly, to those of you who are slamming our soldiers........"did you fight for your country today or just sit on your azz and let someone else do it for you? " Our soldiers must be real happy to see all of the thanks they are recieving back home when they read trash like this.

I keep heraing people talking about us losing the war in Vietnam. I was under the firm impression that we are on top of the Viet - qeada and are not far from victory. I thought the plan was to move on to Cambodia ASAP.

Should women be allowed in combat? There are some stories of women doing great things in combat, but not that many. From personal experience, I was deployed to iraq twice in a combat unit. Sometimes we went on missions where some females would accompany us. The thing was, the females either stayed in the vehicles or would go into buildings after the men had cleared them. In that sense i don't think women belong in combat at all. They are more likely to get special treatment, usually they don't do much but sit around in the vehicle or where it is been deemed as safe by the men.

Hundreds of Americans have lost their minds and used guns to cause multiple deaths. One thing unites almost all of them: military training.

Mr. Muhammad served in the Persian Gulf war, as did Timothy McVeigh, the Oklahoma City bomber. Both received weapons training and basic military training designed to psychologically condition soldiers to kill. They are far from alone.

Serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer received military training in Texas and Alabama. David Berkowitz, the "Son of Sam" killer, was an army veteran. Charles Whitman, who killed 16 people and injured 31 in a 1961 sniper-shooting rampage from the top of a tower in Austin, Tex., had just been discharged from the U.S. Marines. Arthur Shawcross, who killed 12 people, was a Vietnam veteran.

So this is what the great USA makes when they send young men into the military. What a great record. This is puke poor and you know it.
