In late January 2003, as Secretary of State Colin Powell prepared to argue the Bush administration's case against Iraq at the United Nations, veteran CIA officer Tyler Drumheller sat down with a classified draft of Powell's speech to look for errors. He found a whopper: a claim about mobile biological labs built by Iraq for germ warfare.

Drumheller instantly recognized the source, an Iraqi defector suspected of being mentally unstable and a liar. The CIA officer took his pen, he recounted in an interview, and crossed out the whole paragraph.

A few days later, the lines were back in the speech. Powell stood before the U.N. Security Council on Feb. 5 and said: "We have first-hand descriptions of biological weapons factories on wheels and on rails."
The sentence took Drumheller completely by surprise. President Bush knew these were lies and yet he allowed this information to be seen and heard by the American People. As a result we have lost 2,517 troops. This is sad for the USA.

Or, will they settle for Selective Service? This is really nothing new; Thomas Jefferson tried to have it (universal conscription) included in the US Constitution. What are your thoughts on this? Is it an idea whose time has come?

When he gets out will he get stationed somewhere? And since we are talking about getting married, will i be able to livve with him? How does all of this work? And if any military wives would be willing to contact me via e-mail and talk that would be great. airforcebratswife@yahoo.com thanks!!

For security reasons the exact number of service members is classified. I spent 18 months working in Iraq for the company charged with delivering all of the food for the troops (army, navy, air force & marines) and civilians. Part of my responsibilities was computing the food requirement for the men and women on the fround. I would be interested in your estimation of the actual number of US service members we supported on the ground in Iraq. By the way, I/we had a fairly accurate count of civilian works we feed since they were billed to a separate account. And no, I can't disclose the the number of troops we feed while I was there.
