I know they protect the Air Force bases, but i heard they get send to iraq too. What do they do while they are in iraq? do they just protect the weapons and stuff like that? or do they go fight in the war?

You think it would be cool to be in Security Forces?? Would i be able to be a Cop in the Civilian world?

i have a friend who's husband is security forces, he deploys alot but then again he is an officer, not sure if that makes a difference. if i were you though i'd count on being deployed with that job.

There is an armed detail in the Air Force that is on the same training pattern and abilities as Army and Navy special forces. Their primary responsibilities are to recover crews from down aircraft and destroy anything left over that can be used. They also scout out landing locations though.

they do the flightline security at mcguire's afb. so i would assume thehy control the ground security at the foreign air strips. they also do basic policing of the base itself. like the mp's of the army
