Here's the lowdown: I have a cousin who is 17 years old and is pregnant for the second time (!) from some 20-something year old. We live in TX, where the age of consent is 17, but she was underage both of the times she was impregnated and I know the statute of limitation of such a charge is 10 years from her 18th birthday.

Is there evidence? Probably - I assume his name's on the birth certificate and they all openly admit he's the father, it's no secret.

I am SUPER concerned about this situation and this man who will not take responsibility for his actions and insists on setting up franchises with little girls. Granted, she was consenting and is equally stupid, but this guy's a criminal! Her parents are uber-yuppies and won't make a fuss by trying to bring charges against this guy, which is socially irresponsible!

I know by law the guy can go to jail. But I'm talking about "real life" here. What do they actually do? Does the guy actually goes to jail if the parents don't report it or what?

I have heard over and over that the police are horrible people and they are nothing but criminals that have not been caught. I find that impossible to believe, and I am curious to find out why people do not like them. I am not looking for dumb answers such as "They are bullies." or 'They harrassed me." I am looking for a real reason, one that is thought out and articulate. Give the whole story...not just the police response.

I have just seen a documentary about a French murderer in the 18th century who after being convicted was executed by being 'broken on the wheel'.

What exactly does this mean?

I'm was soooo close to finishing it! I have 4 weeks to go and have already done 10 mo. The problem is, I think my urine test is gonna come up pos. for booze. The only time I've drank in 10 mo! If it does, they're gonna set me back a few months. I've been working a double shift as a caretaker and running(yes, actually running) to this program 5 days a week, 3 hrs. a day, and I dont know if I can keep up that schedule too much longer. I've already done a month of house arrest for this incident last year. Also, I ws supposed to contact my probation officer every 3 months until I finish the program and I have not, nor have the courts contacted me. Is this something that I will get screwed with if they contact me later on and I have not completed my court obligations? I would hate to start from scratch, I feel that I've worked too hard already, and sacrificed so much time and effort. I've been clean as a whistle and feel that I totally messed up over a few glasses of wine over dinner.

Items were brought to my house for storage and left for 2 years to keep it from being taken in a divorce. I pawned the items and now the owner wants the items back. I lost some of the items and she wants to take a warrent out on me claiming I stole the items. I have witnesses that witnessed the person bring the items to my house. Is this a criminal suit or a civial suit?

ive seen too many 16 yr old dummies drivin in their car, cell phone attached to their ear, swervin lanes and riskin thier own life AS WELL AS every other driver. thats a direct threat to my familys personal safety. yet the state says that becuase theyre 16, they are responsible enough to drive a car. WHY IS A KNUCKLEHEAD 16 YR OLD RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO ENDANGER MY LIFE ON A DAILY BASIS, YET A 20 YR OLD HAS TO GO TO PRISON FOR HAVIN SEX WITH HER?

IF SHES RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO DRIVE A CAR AND RISK MY FAMILY'S SAFTEY, SHES RESPONSIBLE ENOUGH TO GET KNOCKED UP AND SUFFER THOSE CONSEQUENCES WITHOUT ANYONE GOIN TO JAIL........
