For the most part, police serve a valuable service.
We do not need to rename the police, but rewrite what their duties should entail.
"Policing those who would force another to be denied their right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."
Short, concise, and almost understandable by anyone.

How about calling them the overworked, underpaid, under-appreciated public servants? I have several friends like me that left law enforcement within a short time because we can make so much money elsewhere and work so much less. I appreciate all that they do and it is certainly not easy.
BTW: When I was still with the police department, I never arrested anyone that didn't cry that they were being singled out. You seem like one of those cry babies.

Ok, but if we are going to do that we must revamp the whole system and rename the criminals too:
1: Not My Fault
2: Not to Blame
3: Whiner
4: Societies Fault
And My Personal Favorite and the Category you fall into
5: I Just Got A Ticket and Now I Hate The Police

I wish people like you would stop criticising the police. Can you really imagine society without them?
Actually lets take this to a logical conclusion, all police, nurses, firefighters, teachers, can you imagine society without them?
All are underpaid and underappreciated people working to try and help society, including whinging miscreants like you. Yet they suffer so much abuse and dissrespect for trying to do so.
So why should they bother?
I would like to see people like you try and live without these professionals for a little while, see how much you appreciate them then.

The only time you hear about cops when they do make mistakes.
Considering the many many hours and police forces out there and we rarely hear or problems I think you have over blown your case.

Useless? I am not sure where your anger towards cops are...but the rule is....if you are hiding something...of course you don't like em. However if you are not...then they help. I was attacked at night in the city leaving work...and they were around the corner...(( bike cops )) and they came right away....not only did they help me...they found the guys that attacked me. So useless....no....

If your police has nothing to do, then maybe you are lucky(?) that your town/cityhas no crime at all. Every other town//city has plenty of work such as patrols, reports, deskwork, etc.
Perception of the public as to the usefulness of their police force is subjective.. Their employer is the local government. If you have any questions, then write or file a report to them.

How about telling us what the crime was that was committed against you, instead of just having a go at the police to really monotonous levels? This has been going on for days, just tell us what happened!

I assume that you have had a bad experience with the police department in your area?
Personally, I have the utmost respect for most police officers. I know that, like any profession, there are officers who are better than others, but to judge them all by the "bad apples" is not appropriate in my opinion.
