I am writing a paper for school and am having a difficult time finding new or old newspaper type articles showing judges who sentence people in unique ways-- making them hold a sign next to a store the shop lifted from, taking out an ad in the paper confessing their sins and appologizing, etc. Articles from any country ok. Please include a link! Thank you for your help!

Hi my parents went to see this movie the Black Dalia. I wanted to go but they said it was R and inappropriate for me. Maybe they just wanted to be alone to make out (lol lol just kidding). I think its about a criminal in London England who went around attacking women at night in the fog. Anyway my dad is a police detective and my mom sometimes says hes too obscessed with his cases. The Black Dalia movie is about the London Scotland Yard and they were obscessed with this case. I kind of hope its true because my dad does some wierd things sometimes and I hope he isnt like losing it. Case in point, one night I was sleeping and having a bad dream (very unusual for me) and I woke up and went in my parents room (I was scared and wanted them to be close to me). My dad was putting on his police stuff and getting ready to leave. I asked him if he got called out and he said no but he was dreaming about a case and said he had to go to stop something. Anyway I went back to sleep, etc

In case this matters... I live in Maine.
I got pulled over on the turnpike the other day going 79 in a 65 and I got a ticket.. It's not that bad, and I don't care about the fine.. but I am NOT excited about losing my license for 30 days. My birthday is 4 months away and I'll be 18... I'm pissed! Now, I'm thinking I might contest the ticket and ask for it to be filed away, but if by any miraculous event it goes through and DOES get filed, and I happen to get pulled over in that alotted 2 year time frame, even though I would be at most 20 years old, would I still get my license taken away because this previous violation was committed while I was under 18? Please.. people who know what they're talking about, I'm trying to get in touch with my lawyer but I'm anxious. My car is my life. I'd have to find a ride to school and home every day, quit work for a month and not to mention not be able to go ANYWHERE! Some friends told me that theres no way court will let me go bcuz"theres no excuse"

My parents own approx 55 acres in Columbiana County. There is a driveway going up their property. A few years ago, there was an auction held to sell a piece of property above theirs - at this auction, an announcement was made stating that this piece of property was landlocked and had no legal means of entry onto this property. Someone purchased it and has been using the driveway on my parents property to get to this piece of land - not only that, they have bulldozed the driveway twice, knocking down a large tree clearly posted with a "No Trespassing" sign on it. He has put up other "No Trespassing" signs and these have been knocked down. My father has asked this person to stay off his property, but now this person is claiming that the driveway is a common law road. When my father tried to make a complaint with the local police department, he was given the run around and told it was a civil matter. When he met with the prosecuting attorneys office, they asked if he made a report.

i have a trailor that my daughter and her boyfriend lived in it need some work her boyfriends family gave them a bathtub. it is currently in the trailor in use. but they broke up and now they wont the tub back and have filed a replevins. will they win

India has as such produced no evidences in front of Islamabad on 7/11 Mumbai blasts. Indian officials are waiting for the arriwal of their PM who is curently in SA. Still Islamabad says even if ISI is held guilty( as stated by Mumbai Police) they wont handover any of their nationalist to India, rather do the prosecution themselves.

....sign on the main road through town, at first papers said he would get wreckless homicide and aggravated dui, and all this, but now the charges are only, accident resulting in death, which is only a class 4 felony and just a regular dui, he had just gotten out of prison 3 weeks before, and now is serving the rest of his sentenced parole, but all the charges on the court case file, says not guilty and dismissed with leave to refile, what does this mean? Does this mean that after he gets out of prison he will have to go to court on this or is this ****** gettin off scott free???

I recently saw a 3 year old girl being spanked a few times at Sears for getting lost. Poor thing, she was already freaked out from getting lost. I think a little painless swat is "ok" but slap, slap, slap on the butt and then verbal abuse was just too much to bear to watch. I didn't call the police but am wondering if I should have.

I got a question for my question!!!! The trooper wanted to know the offense "malicious mischief", the offical officer, the judges name... HOW does that make any difference to me wanting to not plead- guilty or not guilty? (btw, it was my daugher, she threw 2 eggs at a house) There was no 'not contest' option on the form. And he told me that I shouldn't waste time for how backed up they were. HAH!!! If he just told me how... I'd be done by now!
Can anyone either tell me OR explain to me why not yet?

My husband did not sign for a certified letter because there was a W. listed as his middle initial and not an A. So the courts sent an order to appear through regular mail. The woman that filed is trying to get a restraining order on her ex. According to the paper work she really needs a restraining order on him to protect her son and herself. I called the court and let them know they had the wrong person. They said she gave our address(I think she must have got it from public records since we bought our home 5 months ago). They said that they would let her know on the 13th when she shows up for the hearing. Is this going to cause further problems for my hubby down the road? Oh, the papers also said the guy she was wanting was born in '78 and my hubby was born in '73. Thanks everyone.

..Prior to which worked for an organisation since 2001, which merged with Nursery School Sept 05. I work in Administrative role based in the office and didn't have to apply for the job - no app form to fill. They've asked me to complete Enhanced CRB Form as I work around children albeit in the office. Doesn't say on form to declare 'any cautions'. Dataprotection Officer said not to worry & don't declare, told him had done a subject access form - nothing on Police National Computer - was clear. As Enhanced check they check local police stations - phoned mine - operator checked 4me- said its been archived - Just says caution. Dataprotection chap said they hold all records for 100 yrs in and that I shouldn't declare . WILL THIS SHOW? Anyone had one done in past few years and had a Caution prior to 1991 - did it show up? I was young and had to admit to something I didn't do as CID threatened to search my mother's home. I accepted it as I had no choice and I was alot younger!!
