There are not many exemptions for seat belts.

London Hackney carriage Drivers(Black Cabs) only when they have a fare!!!!!

Medical certificate, if you are pregnant you will need to get a cert.

obese people need to go to Halfords and get an extension for the female bit.

When It comes to delivery drivers and the exemptions. You have to wear a seatbelt unless the distance is very short IE door to door, round the corner is not close enough.

I think that it's every 30 feet or something that you make stops, that you are not required to wear a seatbelt. Also, I think that if you are driving under 10mph you don't need one either. I could be wrong though

Hope my answer was of help to you. Good luck

depends on the size of the vehicle. I worked for FedEx for 8 years, van and "Sprinter" drivers are still required to wear them. Large van or bulk truck drivers, (i believe gross empty vehicle weight of 1 ton or more) is not required to wear a seat belt. You can, oddly enough, still be ticketed but it can be dismissed through a court appearance.

If it is the case where you are delivering every couple of addresses on the same road then you are exempt from wearing your seatbelt.

If you are delivering to different addresses in different areas then you have to wear it.

Not sure on the exact distance. Think its 20ft per drop

Seatbelts have to be worn at all times by everybody who drives,,I think the exceptions to this rule are expectant mothers,,I guess you have more drops than a B52,,but you must wear your seatbelt!!

they are exempt fro wearing one whilst doing drops, but must wear one on the way to the first drop and on the way back from the last one. I was a short stop driver for a while, neve wore my belt and never got stopped, i suppose i was silly but you feel invincible in a 7.5 ton lorry. Until a 10 ton lorry hits you that is ;-)

Look up your state's code of laws. Laws vary from state to state and change over time by acts of the Legislature.

i was told by dibble that you can only travel a certain distance without a belt something ridiculous like 100 yds i think it was the only other time is when reversing .unless your driving a milk float then you don't need one .this was while i was driving a transit

i think they are exempt, but wear one to your first drop? as a postman, i can say none of the drivers i know wear one neither do my fellow workers when they are taken out to delivery but to be honest i think everyone should and no one should be exempt.
