When will your country wake up and realise that the bill of rights is irrelevant in this day and age. In particular the right to bear arms. How many massacres by lowlife sc um need to occur before you people realise guns are evil? . You blaze across the world like freedom fighters and yet all you do is stuff your faces on burger and chips and kids are shooting each other at schools . 90% of americans have never had a passport and yet you all seem to know how the world should be run. Get a grip USA and sort your own problems out before you tell others how to run the world .. Intelligent answers only please .. LOL this should be fun

Can you drop off paid mail without standing in line at the post office?
Anyone who work at the post office answer this please. Because I recently went to a post office in NYC, 3 out 4 employees told me to wait in line. I had a 6 pound prepaid package. I wasted 20 minutes of my lunch hour for them to just "take" my package. I have used 15 diff post office sin the past and never had to wait in line for prepaid media mail package. I can not find their policy at usps.gov about this. Asked them for supervisor, they said there are no supervisor. This post office is in Macy's, and Macy's has a great reputation for custoemr service. What a shame

Ok, so withholding any employee's first paycheck is legal, so long as the employee receives it when they leave.

But is there any action the employee can take so they can get the paycheck before they leave?

Please, no stupid answers. Thanks!

Do you believe that we all have a right to defend our lives in our homes and in public places?

What do you think of laws introduced by the various governments of this country that limit the rights of individuals to defend themselves and their families from violent attacks?

Should we rely on society to defend us, or do you believe that there are as William Blackstone put it: "that there are many places where society cannot get, or cannot get in time. On those occasions a man has to defend himself and those whom he is escorting. It is not very much consolation that society will come forward a great deal later, pick up the bits, and punish the violent offender."?

Is the right to defend our lives the most fundamental right of all, without which all other rights are useless?

Remember the case a few years ago where the City of Berkely, in California, went to court to force the Boy Scouts to accept openly gay scout leaders? Surprise! The lead plaintiff in the case was charged yesterday with sexually molesting at least four of the boys in the Sea Scout program, over a several year period. The police have announced that a 'significant' number of additional charges will be added once some of the boys in the big stash of gay child porn they found in his computer have been identified.

Im just an Aussie girl, afterall, I don't live in the US and don't understand their laws (or lack of laws when it comes to guns) but I spent a few months debating back and forth via email with a highly intelligent US girl who believed gun's should continue to be allowed and owned pretty much freely as they currently are, despite all the school shootings etc. She pointed out that we have gun psychopaths too which we do (take Martin Bryant for example) and there will always be sick people who get hold of guns however I do believe that if it is harder and less accessible, such as it is in Australia, the opportunity to perform mass executions like we are hearing about in the US, is removed somewhat. With guns more destruction is created, I just don't get why so many Americans are still for fairly unrestricted gun ownership. Some people have told me that they need them over there because they need guns for protection but if guns were outlawed this would be less likely.

Grandfather passed away two years ago. Grandmother still leaves in house. Grandmother (who is not always in right mind) was talked into selling the house by realtor without family knowing. Sell was stopped because no one knew where grandfather's will was. Neighbor lawyer "friend" has since found grandfather's will and given it to the REALTOR to probate(?). Again, family was not involved. Family has yet to see will and lawyer "friend" had never mentioned the will to the family. Is this a breach on confidentiality? Can this be reported to the bar? This is all happening in Tx as we speak. Our part of the family is in NC.

I rented a VHS tape from Ingles in 1999. I never returned the tape. I forgot about it. ( I moved to another city) A warrant was issued. I found out during a traffic stop. I went to court, and paid the fine...I thought that was the end of it. I am now applying for jobs, and this is showing up on my record as petit theft? For a $5.00 VHS tape? Is there anything I can do to clear my record? I paid the fine. This seems excessive.

At my high school we have a pretty strict policy about cell phones. If teachers see you texting during class they will take your phone from you, turn it off and give it to the vice principal, who will return it to you the next day. Recently, one of my friends was caught texting and decided to remove his CIM card from his phone before giving it to the teacher so that he could put it in another cell at home. The next day the vice principal approached him and got angry with him for removing the CIM card. This indicates that the vice principal turned on his cell phone, probably with the intention of reading his text messages. I have no doubt that this is a common practice of the vice principal, though I would need further information to know for sure. Though cases have indicated that students give up some of their rights upon entering school, it seems that the administration would need probable cause in order to search a students posessions. Is this a violation of privacy?

I've been getting harassed by email over the past few weeks. Juat insults, but no serious threats. The sender was anonymous. I threatened to call the cops and press charges.

Now they apologized and promised to stop, but they refuse to identify themselves.

Can I still press charges or get them in trouble?
