I would like in the near future to take the rights away from my daughters father. She is 3 and he hasn't seen her in 2 yrs. He only pays child support when they find him working somewhere. I think it is her best intrest. Should I?

My ex boyfriend wants to file a restraining order against me because I'm moving back in the area to live with my parents while I have my baby. My husband is going to be in Iraq at this time. I in no way have ever offended him or physically hurt him or threatened him. Can he still file a restraining order? I'm asking this because he is a member at the same church as me and this would prevent me from being able to get my baby baptized and from going to church. I have no plans to contact him in any way shape or form.

Can someone please tell me where in the U.S. Constitution it says anything about seperation of church and state. I can't find that quote. I'm not tring to start any religious arguarement, I just want to read that phrase in the U.S. Constitution.

i have been on short term dis. for 6 months i have a serious medical condition.was released to go back to work on permanent light duty.my employer asked me to voluntarily resign.becouse they dont have work for me.HR. person told me they would tell unemployment that they had no light duty . so why do they want me to voluntarily resign for my own good as they say or for themselves.I have called and objected to this and now they wont to talk about this matter some more. i called HR person and told her i did not think this was in my best intrest.now she wants to find work for me????R they try n to screw me over

To whom this may interest, we are a young couple just starting our lives together in an apartment where our landlord won't fix our heater. IThe heat went out over 2 weeks ago and she still has not repaired it. she had a small portable heater sent to me to use in the meantime but it's not enough. This problem does not effect our hot water supply incase anyone asks, it's just the heat. any advice is greatly appreciated.

I live here in Durham NC and a couple of months ago there was an accident that a semi was involved in and it was one of the worst accidents in city history. It started off when two pickup trucks collided. One of the pickups went out of control then and hit the right front passenger side of the semi. It caused the driver of the semi to loose control and the semi crossed the center divider and hit 5 other vehicles killing two people. So my question is even though the driver of the semi didn't cause the accident, could he still be held financially liable at all?

the accident was a three car pile up at the end of an off ramp. i rearended the car in front of me and then the person behind me hit me causing me to hit the car infront again. his insurance cant get ahold of him so there hands are tied. do i need a lawyer if i take it to small claims court

Here's the scenario....... You can plead you charge down to a misdemeanor charge of Terroristic Threats. Then of course you say.... Well, I can't work if I have a felony on my record. Then you take the plea bargin.

This is what is happening to alot of people in ************. Everything from Domestic Disputes to Disorderly Conduct can be pleaded down to a Misdemeanor meaning Terrorristics Threats.
It's good because you don't have to spend time in jail. but you sacrifice the chance to maintain or obtain a good paying job. Most employers don't know this is a low-grade charge. They read it and think TERRORISTS! And for those of us who cannot afford a decent attorney,we have to take those kinds of deals. I am ready for the closed minded "Shouldn't get in trouble." answers. There are circumstances outside of all reasonable explaination why we find ourselves in these situations. I don't expect those who have not had any experience with the law to understand what I am feeeling

remove, dismantle, tear down, etc., whatever EFFICIENCY, studio, in-law-quarters, etc. in their home (especially here in South Florida), by "supposed" city ordinances_which in reality there were none to begin with, and besides taxes were charged on these illegal additions up until someone 'tipped" authorities, and owners were made to tear them down.

Now that these same homeowners_in some cities in the thousands, literally_have lost or will be losing their homes in foreclosure, shouldn't there be some type of legal recourse against, city, county, and even state in the form of a HUGE civil suit?

City and Counties both were charging taxes (extremely high, which is one cause for foreclosure in S. Florida at present)> Wasn't it their duty, obligation, etc., to check over these properties once they were matched to the original records, tax cards, etc., and upon finding them w/ illegal additions, inform individual homeowner.

In other words they were ABETTING in supposed illegalities!

MAYBE ... IF Politicians and aid-workers were to -
i) LISTEN to the security person on the ground...
ii) OBEY the advice of the security person on the ground without changing the goal posts AFTER an agreement has been made
iii) Indeed, maybe they should stay well away from the theatre of war until the Military and security forces have decided and stated a cease fire has been agreed upon to allow aid to go in?

Maybe they'd feel more secure when the guns are put down..

I was served with court papers recently due to a credit card debt that I have from a few years back. They are taking me to court in an attempt to garnish my paycheck for $$ owed (approx. $1000) If this were to happen, it would create a hardship for me whereas I would not have the $$ to fully pay my everyday household bills. I was thinking about contacting a lawyer to see if they could help me in trying to get this modified so that 10% of my pay would not be taken every week. I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience in this area. Would contacting a lawyer be worth it, and do you think they'd be able to help me out? If I do nothing, they will definitely win a judgement against me, and the garnishments would begin. Another option I was considering was to contact the plaintiff to see if we could work out a payment arrangement with them instead of going to court. I'm just not sure if I can do that at this time since the papers have already been served.

I already signed a contract with a lawyer and my first payment was $500 and there is $1500 remaining, if i want to change my lawyer, can i let him keep the $500 and get a new lawyer, or i still would have to pay the remaining $1500

I have medical bills totally $31,000 (uncovered portion of the bill). I have a mortgage, a baby, and well....other life bills. I am a single mother. I am sinking!!
I don't have a lot of extras at all. NO cable t.v., Internet because I am in school online, never go shopping, no credit cards... But I think I may lose my home!!
Any advice for me at all??

here in yuma az, what did i do, what can i do to avoid the people who have been making living in yuma lousy, the fifth ave apts, i sure would like to avoid marla and her pimp, and rimareo, these people have caused alot of distress and unpleasantness, the police are not an option, since they cause distress and umcomfortablness also,, so how to avoid this forced isolation, and besmirchment and slander of my character, is there no one to love me, please do not tell me about Jesus,. i know He loves me, )but i do not want to go to the churches in the area, why do you think that is??? are these churches unfriendly???
