After a police officer visited the local high school, the kids came away with the message that as long as they were on private property (any private property), that they can drink underage and nothing can be done. Is this correct law or did they get the wrong message. Tried looking it up but cant find any laws about it.

but I am still curious given a number of questions I asked yesterday in this forum. Most answers were most enlightening and thoise answering seemed quite knowledgeable However.
If a paralegal offers (gives) information to people she is, say, preparing bankruptcies for (such as info from legitimate sites right here on line) and they read the material BEFORE coming back to her, and they make up their OWN minds when they come back to her that they want a Chapter7 or 13, and she gives them the proper forms to fill out, is
that activity considered
the unauthorized practice of law?

and if one of thm asked her to explain what, for example, an "exemption" is, and she 'explains' what it is but does not offer any advice as to where to insert such exemptions, is that considered the unauthorized practice of law?

then decide they arnt busy enough so they have you come in randomly each day 10am 9am ect...and leave early at any time any day; which in tern leaves you out of the original 40 hours a week that you were hired for---is that exceptable, or illegal to keep you from getting the full 40 hours you originally agreed on?
AND
Since the persons that are on call will get paid over time -they decide to have you work the "extra" on call hours without your overtime pay because they took your full hours away (that once again you agreed on when you started) Is that exceptable or illegal?

That a drunk driver who kills a woman and her unborn baby gets 2 murder charges? Even if the woman was on her way to have an abortion!?!?!? Why is it legal for her? But not the drunk? Dont get me wrong i am TOTALLY against drunk driving and believe their punishments should be stiffer. But why can a woman abort a kid and its not murder, but a criminal that kills her and the baby dies gets 2 murder charges?!?!!?

I live in Canada and am a smoker. I do realize the rights of the non-smoker, but believe that some legislation being enforced is crazy. If smoking is so bad that we need to implement all the laws, then why not ban it? Are you a smoker or non-smoker? What are your views on the laws Canadian, US, or worldwide reply. I am interested in what it is like in other countries and viewpoints of Canadians too. Smokers or non-smokers, how do you feel about the way things are? Do you feel that you should be able to smoke in your vehicle or home. They want us outside, but when our smoke goes into the window of someone's house then where will the lines be drawn in new legislation. Why are cigarettes just not banned? Do you think the greedy governments still want the revenue, so still sell them? Just curious

My family is involved in an embezzlement case and although we have some substantial evidence, I still wonder if we'll lose the criminal case, which requires the evidence to show beyond a reasonable doubt. Is it possible or likely that in a situation where evidence is substantial but not overwhelming, that a civil case would award monies in excess of 100,000 embezzled over 15 years?

My brother was injured on a job site. His leg/knee/foot was injured. He slipped on an object that should not have been where it was. They can prove this object was there before the incident and after the incident...but oddly, not the day of the accident. Most are workers afraid of testifying against their boss. But, there are witnesses that have recently come forward to say it was there. Anyway, a day before the witnesses came forward, my brother met with his lawyers. They were trying to "sell" the case to another law firm--larger and well known, top 10. This new group will have a meeting to see if they want to "investigate" the case...to see if they want to TAKE the case. My question is--what does that all REALLY mean? Should my brother try to find a new lawyer? In the meantime, my brother cannot work and is running out of $. He also needs surgery...which will put him on another 6 months of therapy/disability. Advice??

there are ppl claim religious belief and wanting to send their kids to school with out being immunized. and in some towns run buy liberals an democrates and some of the moderate republicans but more the first too they are allowing these children to enter public school.

do you feel this is more a public heath issue then religion?

do you feel liberals are going to far to please every one at the expense of our childrens health?

do you think ppl use the "religious belief" as a sort of victim card so they get their way ?

example for last question a lady in philly i blieve is saying she doesnt follow any religion but her religious beliefs say she doesnt have to get her kids the shots

We are still waiting for the DNA test to come back. The person who raped me is still working in that hospital and works in an isolated room alone with the patients. Now, I haven't been able to get much help or information.

Today, I contacted my State Representative and she is contacting the states attorneys office. Is this something that should have been done in the beginning of the investigation?? How can they help and what will they do to help me?? Will they help to get him out of the hospital and away from patients?? Any extra info. you can give is appreciated?

Barack HUSSEIN Obama is currently demanding that John Tanner, the head of the Justice Department's Voting Rights Division be fired because he made a statement with which Barack Hussein disagrees.

Specifically, Mr. Tanner cited a Justice Department study that disproved the Liberal myth that requiring voters to present some form of valid ID would somehow disadvantage 'minority voters' (the real reason the Left opposes laws requiring voters to present valid ID's is because they realize that, without voter fraud, they can't win elections).

After presenting the results of the study, Mr. Tanner commented that the only group that was found to be disadvantaged by these laws were the elderly and that, since Caucasians generally live longer, if anything, more Caucasians would be disadvantaged by such a law.

Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with Mr. Tanner’s conclusions, his observations were based on a valid study and were well reasoned.

I am currently owed almost $40,000 in back support from my ex. I have been working with my local enforcement division and supportkids and have gotten no where. He has fled the state and my local office has sent information to the state he resides in...but still nothing. It has been about 7 years now and the arrears just keep adding up. He keeps getting away without paying a dime for his child. His license was suspended but given back to him. He had a warrant issued and this was vacated last year, why I do not know? He has been working under the table and he receives SSI payments. I was told his SSI could not be attached. I have been giving these agencies their information regarding addresses and etc. He is listed as a registered sex offender in the state he resides, he did jail time there. I went to the offender website and got his new address, gave it to supportkids and the local agency, still nothing!! They say they call him...he's not going to answer their calls. I Need Help
