I mean come on! Banning the use of the phrases Husband & Wife and Mom & Dad in the "satan" state schools. Where will it end?

That's problem with living in a federal form of government. You want your state to have more power...have more babies and become a larger state then California.

But really this is a state issue. This type of law will only make their way to your home if your state government allows it.

By the way...that is insane. At some point (and I consider myself moderate with liberal leanings) the PC stuff has to end.

I'm a Californian and I don't like the politics in the state generally, but you are overstating the problem just a tad. Other states have their fair share of evil idiosyncracies. We could do without Nevada's brothels and casinos. Speaking of which, casinos have spread throughout the country now thanks to liberal rules for the Indian tribes. We surely could do without the lingering tendencies of racial discrimination found in certain parts of the country. Parts of the country still hang onto the organized crime syndicates running their neighborhoods. How do you want to measure the degree of evil that these influences exert on our society? I don't think California is any more or less evil than some of the other states.

This is funny. every state has it's own little peculiarities, and when you put that many people in one area that each have their own views of the world then it sometimes gets hard to make them all mesh. These phrases were only nixed in certain contexts, mostly only those that only endorse male/female relationships. In the end, so what?

And California tends to set standards because they are usually not only more stringent and ahead of everyone technologically and socially, but also because they to have the highest population per state in the US. In a democratic republic the most people win.

We want our kids to learn how to read and think critically. To know how to identify "first hand sources" and stuff like that. Maybe that is not important where you are from.

But, if you don't want California's influence in your state, be aware of this:

- ~ 40% of fruits and vegetables in the country comes from CA
- virtually all imports and exports on the west coast use CA ports.
- almost all of the internet technolgy and other communication gear you use originates in CA, including Yahoo.
- almost al of the tv and movies you enjoy come from CA
- much of ther military technolgy is designed and built in CA
- CA, as one of the most populous states, provides its share of military men and women

I am sure I could go on, because our state economy is larger then all but about 5 countries in the world.

Which ones of these "standards from California" do the people in your state want to do without?

Read the law instead of your neocon websites, troll. There's not even a MENTION of the words "mom," "dad," "husband," or "wife" in the law that was signed.

I'd just like to point out that radical islamists refer to America as "The Great Satan."

Amen. California will be the first state to be destroyed by wildfires or it will just fall off the face of the earth. But untill then, take precautions, for example send you kids to private schools or home school. Get involved working in the media. Radical leftists own the media, but it is slowly changing. Be outspoken. Make your voice heard. Fight the good fight,
