This won't affect me but I believe that we should have the CHOICE to do such things because I am a true believer of liberty except murdering, stealing etc (obviously). Please don't keep saying that it's not healthy we get the picture.

wife's if they commit adultery and the Indians from India burn they wife's alive if they commit adultery too , well , and why all of those people can come to USA and get they status as Americans and there is such much noise about OJ Simpson killing his wife in case he did it when all the others are allowed to do in they countries ?
OJ Simpson proved to be innocent any way and in this case he was just wanting his property back that those pople stole from him , and that it's the nasty in this case , yes , they are the ones who committed a crime and not OJ in any case !

My girlfriend and I both got drunk as hell one night and ended up in an argument. She started to get physical and swing at me so I grabbed her wrists in self defense. The cops were called but no charges were pressed. No marks were shown so I wasn’t held. She had a small bruise on each of here wrists the next day & pictures were taken. Statements were taken from us + 2 sober people and now the prosecution is filing a battery case into the courthouse against me. Her and I are back on good (sober) terms again and we couldn’t be happier. I’m sure a court date will be made. What should I expect? What should I prepare for?

After seeing videotapes of cops tasering people on the web, I am convinced that they should not be allowed to carry them, period. The risk for abuse is far too high and people with medical devices such as pacemakers could be at risk of having their devices broken. Also, everyone reacts differently to a taser much like antibiotics, so while one person may be okay afterward, a similar person could be killed by the same amplitude. In my opinion, a pig with a taser is a dangerous thing, as they are far too eager to use them and most cops are just sadists with a uniform. The lame excuse I keep hearing from cops or cop advocates is that they "need to protect themselves so they can get home to their families."

Well, that is just moronic, as anyone who is vitally concerned about coming home to their family should simply pick a safer profession! Remember, no one is FORCED to become a cop. There are far better jobs that pay much more. No, they CHOOSE to be cops because they like the power.

And what are your thoughts on the criteria that should be used to identify a frivolous lawsuit?

(I know this sounds like somebody's homework question. But seriously, I would like to get your thoughts. These are the kinds of things I think about!)

I was at one of my highschool's away soccer games in another town. At the game two of my friends and I were approached by the man in charge of the fields facilities, for throwing pebbles at the back of a shed/garage facility at the field. The man who saw us called the police and we were taken to the police station in the town. There were no damages to the shed but they still filed a police report. Now, a week and a half after the incident, my school's principal and assistant principal got a hold of the report. They called me and my friends to the office and told us that we were banned from any of the schools athletic events along with 3 detentions. I just wanted to know if the school has the power to do this, with something that hapened out of town and out of school? and do they have the power to tell me that i can't go to a field out of town? (I live in New Jersey)

Both my parents are in their 80's and don't have living wills. I know, I know. but it's tough to insist when they are so close to the end of their lives. Anyway, they aren't legally married but share a home and some rentals. Some things are owned together, some as sole proprietor. Will the court let us kids decide what is best for the survivor or will it still be a long, expensive process?

We see a lot of information written on things we see and live with...for instance, road signs, freeway markings, shops, offices etc... is it because:

[a] They want to uphold a reputation of courtesy & being an advanced nation in the world?

OR

[b] Is it because they want to avoid a lawsuit or get into legal trouble if they did not provide such small information?

I’ve looked through the questions on the site and elsewhere and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for.

I was an idiot and loaned money to my ex boyfriend over the course of a year which, with interest comes to the tune of just over $9,000

He has paid 150 dollars in the past 2 years. I have taken every action I can think of, and I want to seek legal action at this point.

I need to know A) Do I have a real case and B) What Are My Next Steps

I have the following:
- Piles of Emails from the EX Including:
--- Correspondence where he confirms his understanding of the debt and that he will pay
--- Numerous correspondence of me trying to be flexible with the EX over time
--- An excel file that the EX created and emailed to me with a description that outlines his new ‘payment plan’ with the interest included. He made no payment after this excel plan.

The lawyers I have tried to call here seem to only work with the Business debts/contracts. I would go to small claims court, but the limit in Florida is $5,000. I would be willing to go that route as well if that’s the only option.

In many states, including mine, it's illegal to talk on your cell phone while driving, unless you use a hands-free device.

So I'm curious. What is the distraction?

If the distraction is that you have one hand off the wheel when using a cell phone (thus the law for a hands-free device), then shouldn't the law have been that both hands must be on the steering wheel while driving a car?

Isn't it really that the cell phone is the distraction -- carrying on conversations while you should be concentrating on driving? If so, then they legislated the wrong thing, which is usually the case!

Opinions?

I print t-shirts. I want to make some Green Bay Packers shirts for myself and perhaps some friends and family. I'm pretty sure it is Illegal for me to put the Packers Logo on a shirt and sell it for a profit. but how far does that go?
Can I print the trademarked Packers logo if it's just for myself?
Can I print the trademarked logo and give it as a gift(making no profit)?
What if there is no logo? Can I print a shirt that just says Green Bay Packers?
Can I sell a shirt that just says "Green Bay Packers" for a profit?
Any recourses would help, I always have questions about this kind of stuff.

I was given a formal police warning for shoplifting something worth £4 from a large department store. Although this matter is now over with in court, I am been chased by a debt collection agency say that owing to "civil recovery" coming from the department store I now owe £240. Surely this can not be right, and can not be real law. Are they being criminal to harrass me into paying this huge amount of money. Please help.
