My boss wanted a lump sum < $30,000 he called a loan. He was the one that was meeting with upper management about my company caused injury and disability. I was not allowed to attend the meetings. After I refused to fork over the money, my benefits were flimsy. This was a job with the federal government at a nuclear facility.

This is from a CBC radio talk show..the suggestion was that executioners should be called up same as jury duty. As well the local bar room talk..killing her/him wouldn't make going to jail worthwhile..how if someones life is less valuable to you than a mosquito to squish, then maybe your own life has no value..this and bitterness over how we spend more money on prisoners, than minimum wage workers. And they receive better food etc.

I work at a car lot. My boss is a finance manager. He has a videorecorder in his office to record customers during loan closings. Every now and then I go sit in his office and have general conversations. Someone very close to me was in trouble with the law a while back. I think that he was trying to get a little too into my business today. Does he have any right legally to record me without me knowing or without my consent?

In the process of my divorce the court system is continually trying to deny me of my bill of rights. I am self-employed AND work part-time for a company and yet they tell me I should get a job at McDonald's so I have a steady income. As it is my right to choose my trade or profession why do they think they can be dictators to me? I am in the United States! A second court hearing has actually been set up to try to bully me into bending to their will even though they are supposed to uphold the bill of rights. I'm very disappointed in the system. (again)

My former roommate and I signed a year lease. She could no longer afford to live in the house, so she went to the landlord. The landlord let her out of the lease and I was no longer able to afford the house by myself.I paid and lost the whole $500 deposit and I've fronted bills for the past two months that she was unable but knew she needed to pay half of...

Basically, my former roommate and friend owes me about $500. She does not return my phone calls and she has not come back to get her stuff... I know where she is living now though. I have some documentation of our lease, the bills I completely paid for, bill notices I typed up for her, that she has thrown away, nasty e-mails that prove she needs to pay.

Will this hold up in small claims? What can I do to get my money back?

Please tell me your experience, what you think I should do, and what I need to do to prepare myself for this court process. Any advice would be great, and any steps I should or should not take.

Thank you!

and was burglarizing it; u immediately grab ur shotgun and shoot that individual. Even though he didn't threaten your life and u claimed that u used it in self-defense wouldn't u (in a hypethetical sense) still be charged with involuntary manslaughter. In my opinion it would b a yes since u killed the person wihtout him threatening u. However, one of my professors said yes and other said no, and i am just so confused. Which one is true? I am talking about NJ law by the way. If someone could clarify this conflict i would really appreciate it. Thank you!!

If you own any land how far deep would be considered yours? It can't be down to the core of the Earth because since the Earth is a sphereoid other peoples land would bisect yours at angles.

As I was going through a divorce my IDs were taken I was in the process of obtaining new ones, and had a temporary Drivers I.D. with an app. to retake the test. He also tried to shut off all utilities, DP&L shut off my service (the others did not) without any notice while I was at work. They then wanted 130. deposit to switch it in my name, but refused my I.D. It was a day later and I had to have it revoked for a state Id, they then said they would turn it on the next day, I called back with a Western Union for 130.00 and they then said were under a heat advisory and would turn it on Mon. I called Pcu and they made them turn it on Fri. night. 3 days later.I lost over 1,000. dollars from this and then they credited the deposit to my husbands business partner. have tried to resolve the deposit amount but they won't, think I have grounds for legal action but I don't know what to do. I can't afford an Attorney, I did keep all paper work on all of this.

I have been having a difficult first pregnancy (Only 7 weeks pregnant). I told my boss only a week ago that I was pregnant, because I have been having complications & forced bed rest (only 2 days of bed rest). I returned to work today, and received a phone call from a vendor. This vendor totally ripped me a new one about how I should be at home in bed to protect my baby! I was shocked. I have told only my closest relatives that I am expecting, and only my mother and my husband (besides my boss) know that I am having problems. Is it legal for him to disclose this kind of information? I feel totally violated. I live and work in California, if that is relevent. Thanks!
