Boy, oh boy , I guess the Mexican gov't can't find a bank big enough for their $$$, with crooked law enforcement, they get paid either way. 1.) Andrew Luster's money 2.) Chapman's plea bargain, I just wonder why our gov't is playing by their rules??just wondering

Reports that I have heard from Americans with homes in Mexico is that the police there do not make any pretense about not being corrupt. A young rich fugitive just has to pay the right people and he would be forgotten. Or so the story goes.

Mexican officials are under no obligation to actively seek out fugitives that are wanted in the United States. Andrew Luster had not broken any laws in Mexico so he had not been arrested by Mexican police. Once he was in police custody, only thanks to the efforts of Dog Chapman, Mexican authorities took the appropriate steps to extradite Lester to the US.
