Immigration - November 2007

Gambling is illegal in most southern states as well unless it's run by the gov't. Do the same people who run around spotting "illegals" for the gov't think we ought to spot gamblers too? Do you agree that kind of thinking is monopolistic on the part of the state?
In several states Sodomy is illegal. Should somebody run around pointing out people they think are sodomizers? Both are illegal. What's the difference?

It used to be illegal for a woman to vote in this country. Do you think that it was wrong for women to protest that law? It used to be illegal for blacks to share the same spaces as whites during segregation. So do you think it was wrong for those blacks to organize PEACEFUL sit-ins to bring about change even though they were breaking the law while doing so? It used to be illegal for a black and a white person to get married during segregation times in this country. Because they were of different races, their love was against the law. So do you think it was wrong for them to be in love even though the law prohibited it? I ask this becasue many people say that the reason they oppose illegal immigration is just because "it is illegal". Given the history of this country making some pretty ridiculous things illegal, can we really use that as a defense?

I do not dislike Paul, but what other candidates will at least try to thwart illegal immigration and illegals? I know that no democrats will.

Both legal processes, and addressing issues with those who don't follow the laws and systems? I'm just looking for opinions, maybe we can see what might be working for some other countries...

I will give you 5 choices.
A)The illegal immigrants themselves, for coming to the United States illegally.
B)The Mexican government, for encouraging it's poor citizens to illegally enter the United States.
C)President Ronald Reagan, for signing The Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 that gave amnesty & legal status to illegal immigrants already in the United States, or most of them.
D)The first president Bush or president Clinton, for not securing our national borders.
E)President George W. Bush, for not securing America's borders in either of his 2 terms, & for trying to pass an amnesty bill.

the british people are made up of a old mix of gemanic, gallic and scandinavian people who in turn ran the native people into the hills of wales and scotland-then when they found a patriotic unity they proceded to invade just about every country they could. remember there were 65 countries in the british commonwealth at one time; do u think you were a welcome addition to their home? so now you are reaping what you sow and it makes me so happpyyyyyyyyyyy lol

I am not for amnesty in any form, being I see the fall out from the one time amensty of 1986, where 3.1 millions were given amnesty and that was suppose to solve the problem, and being we now have at least 20 million and more coming each day. The issue was not on the forefront of the American people, but after 911 we had the lessons of unsecured borders flap us in the face.

I watched yesterday's CNN Democrat debate. They kind of talked about it, especially against driver's licenses for undocumented workers. But they mostly talked about Iraq and healthcare. What do you think?

Is it acceptable for stores catering to Hispanics to use racial epithets when referring to Caucasian residents of the United States?Apparently so. According to the Washington Times online edition, a furniture store located in Alexandria, Va., has posted a sign calling Americans 'gringos'. The Times reports that,

A sign outside the store at the intersection of North Beauregard and King streets reads, “Credito sin papeles de gringo.” In English, that could be translated to say “Credit without gringo papers.” Blanca Granados, the store's assistant manager, translated the message to mean “just 'without white papers,' like Social Security or like that.” http://www.newsbusters.org/blogs/richard-newcomb/2007/11/16/virginia-store-calls-whites-gringos-media-yawnsRacial profiling! Racial profiling! I’m offended!! Anyone up for a class action suit???

I had a friend that worked in a HUGE complex. 80% were hispanics born in the US. 12% were white and the remaining 8 was black and other. Those are real stats by the way. So there is the drain on the system. Those people had 3-6 kids and some had one parent and many had both. They were home ALL freakin day doing nothing but watchin tv and smokin weed and dealing drugs.
How is that a comparison to a person that comes here and works illegal or otherwise? Even if he's using a fake social he's still paying taxes. Who deserves to be here most?

I mean they tried to get rid of consrvative talk people and lost. Then we find out that even 'liberal" New York is not so liberal. the cat is out of the bag. What happened to the boy that cried wolf to many times. Now they are attacking lou Dobbs calling him "racist" and "nazi", just because he tells it like it is. Freedom of speech is here again and the lib media knows it.

Like maybe every 2 mile or so? That would be 350 outposts (if you take the 700 mile fence we are trying to build).

Why not post like 150 along the Rio Grande? That way, when people cross, the Guard is there waiting for them.

It seems that politicians or even normal civilians can't make any anti-immigration arguments without being acused of racism, politicians are scared now of voicing the peoples concerns over this incase they get braned as racist. This seems abit rediculous to me, why can't we have the right to choose who comes into our country?

Am I racist because I'm proud to be British?

My employer knowingly employs illegal immigrants and also someone who supplies legal papers to the illegal immigrants in exchange for large amounts of money. I have called the ICE hotline and reported them 3 times already but nothing has been done. I was told by a supervisor that the company has immigration taken care of and they don't have to worry about getting caught. Who else can I contact about the illegal immigrants?

some 60 americans have been kidnapped in nuevo laredo, near texas loredo. some have been kidnapped with the help of the mexican federalis. why is that our government has done NOTHING ABOUT THIS ACT OF WAR???? this is a true statement, do your research and find the truth . we are being sold out to mexico,by our leaders in government(both parties) and corporations who want to do buisness with mexico. we must fight back before its to late. In one instance 2 girls(american latinos) were kidnapped by mexican police and given to a mexican druglord as a birthday present, neither girl has been seen alive since.three other people all us citizens were brutally murdered and their heads were rolled into a niteclub in the US as a warning. This town in the US, is more dangerous statistically than BAGDAD.WAKE UP AMERICA.....maybe its to late already.

Then does this mean some of you pro-open door lobbyists truly beleive that **all** British people are highly skilled and earning big fat paypackets?

Or on the dole?

Because if you beleive this you need to stop taking the drugs.
