Ron Paul doesn't have a chance of winning. He is running at 1% on average in all the state polls.
Sorry, but he just doesn't have the political muscle to push forward and win.
We know Hillary wont do anything about illegals except give them amnesty. Democrats are just waiting to see if she wins before shoving through an amnesty package.
We know Giuliani is of a similar mind to Hillary on this issue, as is John McCain. The only Candidates that will take stand on this issue are either Mitt Romney or Fred Thompson. If Immigration is your issue, then those are your candidates.
Sheed - All evidence to the contrary

"Alien" is such an offensive term, really... even if it is common legal term it is too harsh. Also, illegal immigration has a great double moral and hypocrisy. I do understand the logic of the US immigration laws, but what can not be justified is the stigmatization of groups, id est, to automatically associate "immigrant" with "Latin" or "Mexican". There is so many European in the US with their VISAs and even passoprts expired, yet they are hired and everything as usual but nobody makes a fuzz, oh, but do the same with a 'dark skin' and you have a totally different story. I was born in Mexico and never, honestly, expected to live here in the US, (I am legal btw) and I can tell you that most of the ones that come in here as illegal are either criminals or very poor and desperate people and you can not expect the greatest of behaviour from that people regardless of their native nationality. Ron Paul's policies are sensitive and fair but most border racists tend to omit all the other measures he promote to create a stable immigration system and just want to put a wall and shot any "Mexican" going by. Just one thing I do not agree is his thing about no healthcare if you are illegal here... really draconic measure. Give the person basic assistance then they have one of two options: pay ahead for the medical care, or be deported. You can not just ignore someone injured because he or she is not a citizen. Also, the US medical system really, really sucks and to blame the immigrants of it's fail is way unfair and false. I think the US should adopt the French system for medical care, where people choose any medic they want and then pass the bill to the gvt if they have social security, otherwise the patient pay for it. Same thing with medicine. This would reduce the gvt burden in infrastructure and personnel while increasing the employment opportunities for private medical care --without-- an enforced medical insurance as Obama wants, that is left to you and your ability to plan for the future. And yes, I would vote for him for sure, he is one of the very few who knows what's going on in this country.

Tom Tancredo has been fighting illegal immigration since 1999 and I believe he started the Immigration Reform group in the House. Duncan Hunter is also excellent - he is responsible for the fence by San Diego. Both have been excellent congressmen, are great patriotic Americans and are eloquent speakers.
I'm guessing this is why the media ignores them.

Tancredo and Hunter would, but RP would be a heck of a lot more fun to vote for.
Did you see they closed a place for 'illegal currency' that had made literally tons of 'dollars' out of an ounce of pure copper, with RP's likeness on them?
Damned shame, I thought. I'd buy one. I wouldn't illegally 'circulate' it, but if I can buy campaign buttons, why not campaign 'coins'?

The only way to thwart illegal immigration is to punish companies that employ them. With no incentive to work, there is no reason to illegally cross the boarder.
Fred Thompson and Tom Tancredo also hold this view.
Mitt, Rudy, and McCain do not. They prefer amnesty.

Romney is on the record against illegal immigration. Huckabee is actually FOR it: he supported the d(REAM) Act.
