For me personally it is the number one reason I am going to vote for someone.
It needs to STOP.
American are tired of footing the bil for all these ILLEGALY INVADERS.
They have NO RIGHT to be here and they need to go away.
The HUMANE way is to deport them post haste.
I have several other INHUMANE ways to deal with it as well, but I will get kicked of for saying them

Here in the UK,immigration is certainly an issue with every person I meet.
Even many on the left are starting to feel the adverse effects on their personal lives(they were warned).
Unfortunately,10% of our population are immigrants and will obviously support the party that encourages further leeching..sorry ,I meant to say enriching of our culture, adding vital skills and the propping up of our economy.
Compounding the problem is the voting apathy. Those who recognise the dangers should make sure they damn well vote.
Now that most people can see through the spin and cliches of the socialist government and its army of public sector employees, its time they say how they really feel in the privacy of a voting booth ,where they wont be shouted down as racists, ostracized in social groups or arrested for a variety of newly introduced race laws (aka restrcition of free speech).
Its time to stop pretending, the immigrants will reduce our countries to third world heaps similar to the ones they have abandoned.

It's one of the big issues, along with the others you mentioned. You can go look at the issues on where the candidates stand, and then you will see the big issues. It's all going to boil down to economics, and the Dems are not addressing this, which is harmful to them. People vote with their pocketbooks, and most of the country does not want higher taxes. The country is mostly concerned with inflation and a possible depression. Illegal aliens are a drain on the taxpayers. So I would say economics is going to be the big issue. The GOP is already addressing this issue.

The Republicans have not got any plan for well being care yet, regrettably and realistically, Democrats is honestly no longer waiting to get a plan that covers all people through fact the coverage firms will stop them. They spin that the well being care equipment is great mutually as coverage executives make 100x greater advantageous than medical doctors. They declare that international locations with socialized medicine have long waits for care, etc. although, i could choose a rustic's well being care equipment via its existence expectancy and infant mortality value. U.S. existence expectancy has dropped to twenty ninth place, under merely approximately all different Western international locations. The international locations that have unfastened well being care are all above us. they are additionally above us for low infant mortality, i.e. fewer toddlers die at beginning in international locations with socialized medicine than right here. people who're against socialized medicine, how is the present equipment probable greater acceptable if human beings are not residing as long right here as in maximum different civilized international locations?

The American people are being killed by criminal illegals at a rate of 25/Day. This is more than the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and September 11th combined. But Bush and the Democraps love the money that their masters in Mexico City are paying them for their souls.

Who cares about healthcare when there's 12M illegals in our society, draining it and trying to change our national language. Glad I did not watch the debate I would have mostly lost my time. Yes I think it's heating up for a boiling point somewhere in 2008

Not directly. I would think war, and economy would be hire up. It might be a tie unfortunately with the Environment. The thigs is that they are all interconnected. Our enemies can enter our country illegallly with the illegal immigrants, they do effect our budget, and they do pollute when they cross over and even when they settle here. I;m not denying we should not talk about it, but frankly there are other issues that should have the spotlight.

If it becomes a big issue, it will only be until our votes have been cast. The leaders of our country have certainly not upheld their responsibilities to defend citizen rights so far, and there is too much money being made to change course now.
Real solutions will always lose out when the politicians are lining their pockets.

I believe it will be the defining issue this election. The American People are fed up with government not listening to us. With the defeat three times of the Dream Act and the recent defeat of the Ag Jobs bill, but myself and thousands upon thousands of Americans, emailing , faxing, calling and writing their congressmen and women, these elected bloated bureaucrats have slowly begun to realize that if they want to be re-elected or elected they will jump on the anti-illegal immigration band wagon. I told my husband several months ago it would be "THE" defining issue of this election.

As for me, yes this is the top issue in this coming election! I will vote for one who is strong on closing our borders; deporting those who are here illegally, and enforcing heavy fines and penalties on them. Jail them, then deport them. Do not allow them to use services needed for the citizens who were born in this country. If you came into this country legally, then you have the right to apply and obtain the rights of natural born American citizens, but not until then. When I see a candidate that will do this, that person will get my vote!!!

The Dem's want to tip toe pass the issue of illegal immigration to placate those that want open borders, and those that are against amnesty. I hope they fall from the high wire, metaphorically speaking of course
