Like maybe every 2 mile or so? That would be 350 outposts (if you take the 700 mile fence we are trying to build).

Why not post like 150 along the Rio Grande? That way, when people cross, the Guard is there waiting for them.

Sergio, of course they'd have binoculars and little raised chairs, kind of like the lifeguard chair, but higher. Also, they'd be driving around and/or walking between outposts.

No we need a system similar to that used in the 1960s USA at all ports into the country, an offshore detention centre to hold those awaiting return and no access by so-called refugee support organisations who are in it for their own earnings.

Lany, the National Guard is not all in Iraq. Do you people actually think about what you say or do you just repeat whatever the lying politicos feed you? The Guards rotate. Anyway there are plenty of them that have never set foot in Iraq, most in fact and don't forget the reserves.

Anywya yes it is a good idea you'd need a couple of battlions and that would be the end of the problem.

Oh of course the racists at La Raza (means "The Race" in Spanish) would squeal but that would be a good thing.

Darth, it can be very easy.

Just tell fidel to come here to rule the USA, and you will see ( at least the Cubans running over the sea to leave, ASAP ) after a while, when people realize what happened, they will begin to go back to their countries by the millions

So far all you get with enforcement of stopping the illegals is a prison sentence! If they let the Border Patrol do their jobs, we would not be overrun with illegals and drug lords now.

That's what they are supposed to be doing! But that ****** bush and his cronies have bent the laws so they could send them to iraq. By the way...the federal government has NO authority to command state troops! each state in the union is a sovriegn entity unto itself.

LoL....an elevated chair like a life guard? Wow....you really know your way around security ops, don't you? I don't know why our country is in so much trouble with well informed, really smart citizens like you here to make recommendations.

Seriously, do you even know what two miles of terrain looks like?

I think we need the Green Berets and Navy Seals at the border with shoot to kill instructions.
