After a lot of "spinning the so-called truth," he finally admitted he would give illegal immigrants driver's license. Now I support John Edwards.

Barack Obama lost the COUNTRY'S support when he refused to cross his heart during the Star Spangled Banner and the Pledge. He wouldn't sing or say it either.

How can he expect to run for president of the United States and not cross his heart during the Star Spangled Banner? That's ridiculous. What a hypocrite.

And giving illegal aliens drivers licenses would be idiotic too. Think about this one.. you have to show proof of social security number and two forms of picture ID to get a drivers license. HaHaHa.

it's a tough call....for me. I live in an area with alot of illegal aliens.. If they do not have a license, that means they do not have insurance either.... but that doesn't stop them from driving. Not to mention, they won't have the opportunity to take a driver's course and learn the rules of the road, which makes them even more of a hazard. So if you get hurt in an auto accident and the driver is uninsured.... where does that leave you ? Before they tackle the issue of driver's licenses....they need to figure out whether or not they are going to provide some sort of path to citizenship. If not, then the issue is moot... You can't have insurance without a license, you can't have a license if you're illegal... it's a catch22 all around, and there is no simple solution.

Barack Hussein Obama, come on now. Heavy Muslim background and even said in an interview, I must have been tired when I answered that question improperly. And if he's tired and has the button pushed improperly? I've never been a supporter of him or Hillary. Too scarey for me. I am 100% against illegal immigration and I'll only vote for those whose records prove that they are as well. Not the only criteria but a big must!

He lost my support a long time ago. I thought at first he could have been the one to really defy the trend. I wanted to see a African Amerian man do well in a presidential election. But ! sadly he has turned out to be just another liberal falling into the racial profiteers' snairs. (Al and Jesse) Now instead of representing the interst of America he is just another mindless machine for those who rage racial wars for profit. As far as giving illegals drivers licences...... they're illegal Aliens !!!! Why would we give them licenses ?? Thats as stupid as giving them in-state tuition ! They aren't even citizens ! Obama had the chance to come into American politics and be real reviving spirit. But instead ! He has taken the PC position where ever he goes. He isn't strong enough to be president ! He's weak !

Obama is a globalist, nuff said. 'Free trade' is in his DNA, however he tries to frame it as fair trade.

Edwards would give amnesty, so he wouldn't have to give licenses to illegals, he'd legalize them, just so you know. The only thing different about Edwards is he seems to be a bit on the 'supply side' in terms of wanting to fund schools as well. However, not to the tune of addressing the impact from illegal immigration, from anything I've read. Our politicians are addressing impact only with fantasies to 'stop it in the future' while continuing the benefit magnets and lack of enforcement (sanctuary cities) that bring them. They have their agenda and aren't focussing on the impacts on us, at all.

It isn't rocket science, but no one will solve this until they repair what is being broken by illegal immigration. Like our schools, health care and services.

That would be enough. But I was blind stagger floored when he said the employers who hired the illegal aliens should not be prosecuted.

My impression also is that he is beginning to see things the same way Bush sees them where Immigration is concerned and that worries me a great deal.

He has not had my support since he voted to give illegals SS benefits even tho they had not paid into the system while serving in ILL. He has been pro-illegal so it is no surprise to me that he did this.

I wasn't on Obama's side from the get-go anyway. I agree with you that he's wrong to support illegals getting driver's licenses. They are here illegally - they don't belong here. If Hillary runs I will vote for her and so will my family and friends.

A poll recently done said 80 % of america is against DL for illegals.

The other 20 %, don't have a leg to stand on.

If obama said he would not support DL for illegals and build a fence between us and mexico. I still don't know if I'd support him.

But at least he is calling hillary out on her flip flopping. I do respect him for that.

He never had my support since he is pro-amnesty, like all the democrats. This viewpoint just give more proof that he's not right for president.

Most Americans are against DL for illegals. Any candidate that is for it shows how they are out of touch!
