I have been with the man of my dreams for more than 2 years and we are ready for marriage. I am half indian, born and raised overseas. I need to know how we go about this? Also is it possible to keep my last name so I don't have to change all of identification documents, etc.

i know someone who lives in mexico and wants to come to the U.S. for citzenship...occassionally traveling to mexico to visit family...but will also be able to come back to the U.S. without problems...

how do i help this person? what does this person have to do to apply (i mean all the forms this person must fill out) ??

where can i get this information? any website or insight??

He is now 18(He has graduated high school) and stuck in a real mess. He is unable to get drivers license or legally get a job.

Is there any way he can start the process of becoming a legal citizen(getting his workpapers/drivers-license).. with out being forced to go back to Chile(I mean he was basicly dragged to the U.S.. he had no choice in the matter, not his fault he is stuck in this mess)?

Also, if there is a process.. would starting that process.. get his parents in trouble?

Example: If you say something like ''this is America, Mexicans go home!'' Your most likely response is Yeah! star!star! I just think its funny because you dont have to give your answers any thought to be popular on here. Therefore, is it more popular to be a racist?please dont cop out by saying Mexicans arent a race. Fact: A child born in the US is a US citizen unless their parents are foreign diplomats. The anchor baby can't sponser a parent until they are a adult.

Everything else you read in here about anchor babies is a total myth. Having a baby does Not automatically let the illegal parents stay or make it more easy to get legal and does Not bring any more govt welfare benefits that a US citizen can get.

And is it so hard to get it that most illegals love their children born in the US just like most US citizens love their children?

I've looked over old naturalization papers of my great grandfather from the early 1900's and it looks as though he waited about 5 years.

Is this the current waiting period?

O'FALLON, Mo. — Random state inspections of some construction sites to look for illegal immigrant workers and routine checks of the residency status of people arrested by the Missouri Highway Patrol are part of new initiatives launched by Gov. Matt Blunt.

"Illegal immigrants are openly breaking our laws," Blunt said at a news conference Tuesday at O'Fallon City Hall. "Because Washington has failed to deal with this issue, states must do even more."

The worksite inspections, by the state Department of Economic Development, will be limited to privately developed projects benefiting from state tax credits or other economic incentive programs.

Blunt said his directive also demands that such companies recertify in writing within the next 30 days that they, their contractors and subcontractors do not employ illegal immigrants. Any company discovered to be using illegal immigrants will be banned for at least five years from getting such state aid. That's the maximum penalty allowed by state law, he said.

"With this measure and others, we will help to ensure that Missouri taxpayers are not somehow subsidizing illegal immigration," Blunt said.

Blunt came to O'Fallon to announce the economic agency's new effort because the city has had two controversies involving allegations of illegal immigrant workers at construction projects aided by state and local bonds.

On Monday, the governor issued his separate order on arrests by the Highway Patrol. That order also applies to the Missouri Water Patrol and the state Capitol police.

Officers with those agencies have begun verifying the immigration status of every person they arrest.

Blunt also has told the three state agencies to work out an agreement with the federal government to allow officers to be deputized to directly enforce federal immigration laws and to get special training. Only six other states have such an arrangement, Blunt said.

Blunt added that he's asking federal officials for "expedited approval" of the agreement, which would allow more than 1,000 state officers to take illegal immigrants to federal detention centers instead of having to wait for federal authorities to do so.

"This is a significant force multiplier for enforcing our immigration laws," Blunt said, noting that the state has only about 50 federal agents available for such duty.

If you live your life angry, then, you will be outraged by undocumented.

If you live your life in fear, you will be scared that "they" will take over and you or your descendants will be without.

If you live your life with love as your guide, you can feel empathy for others and possibly will relate to the undocumented on a sympathetic level.

If your brain rules, you think about it.

IF your heart rules, you "feel" it.

ETC.

What is it that guides your life? Are you so interested in being "right" so that you can win? How does your stance on undocumented people edify what your ethics are?

And, FYI: undocumented:
1. lacking documentation or authentication.
2. lacking proper immigration or working papers.

Immigrant:

1. a person who migrates to another country, usually for permanent residence.
2. an organism found in a new habitat.

I was born in MI, 1954, sent to school to study for only a yr. but then was triked into marriage at 14. I disput that the marriage cert. is null & void due to wrong nationality, wrong address, wrong ages on document. divorced @ 21 & in US since. birth cert. is Us citizen.

Last night I saw a mini-van packed full of Mexicans at the store. As they were leaving I noticed the cartoon with the boy P*ssing on something with a hat on turned backwards.
In the past I have seen it for people with different makes of cars making fun or cutting down other brands of cars.
This one on their van the hat was made to resemble a Mexican flag, and the guy is P*ssing on the American Flag crumpled up at his feet.

Does anyone else think this disrespect is getting out of hand?

And before you pro's start with your crap about me being scared, I want to know how many of you will jump a van full of guys by yourself when you can't see if they are armed.

I recieve an email a few days later telling me it had been pulled because it violated guidelines. Though I just checked questions in immigration and their are far more offensive questions than the one I asked. Just in case you're curious the question was, "if you woke up tommorrow and all the illegals that are mexican are gone and they took every contribution they made to society in the last hundred years with them would this country be a better place?". I'm paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact wording. I apologize if I mispelled any words. My public school teachers time was spent helping illegals.

A 5 year old McAllen girl is safe tonight after being kidnapped early this morning, through a bedroom window.

Luckily, the girl's mom caught Jorge Alberto Escobar in the act. Family members tackled Escobar and he was arrested by police down the street.

The girl was not harmed.

The kidnapping happened shortly after midnight on the 600 block of Kennedy Avenue, in south McAllen.

Family members were unavailable for comment. But, neigbors say they are relieved that the intruder has been arrested.

"Oh. well yeah. We don't need any pervert, around here," said Jerry Harris. "And that's pretty brazen to go into someone's window and grab ahold of them like that."

Turns out Escobar is someone the family knows. Escobar is an illegal immigrant who was living in an adjoining room and who worked with the victim's father.

He's charged with aggravated kidnapping and his bond is set at half a million dollars.
