Why is it more popular to be a racist? (on Y/A answers)?

Example: If you say something like ''this is America, Mexicans go home!'' Your most likely response is Yeah! star!star! I just think its funny because you dont have to give your answers any thought to be popular on here. Therefore, is it more popular to be a racist?please dont cop out by saying Mexicans arent a race. Everybody knows that,but any idiot can also tell that the very large majority that come from Mexico are brown. So that does bring race in to the matter. What are your thoughts?

Jeff, Thats not true, we dont believe all anti-illegal immigrant supporters are racist but, it is really easy to see right through these people who are both racist and anti-illegal immigrant supporters. Minorities can smell a racist a mile a way and your mostlikely not one of them.

Do people really believe the economy would be better with out illegal immigrants? Our politicians dont think so.(all talk) Do you guys really think your wallets would be fatter if illegals werent here? I believe with every tax break we get the goverment adds another.

my response is we are all decended from immigrants. People who say Mexivans go home are ignorant. Same thing was said about the Irish 100 yrs ago and the ItAalians and the east europeans its not so much racist as ignorant

The problem here is economics. Illegal immigration puts a further strain on an already limited economy. This is because there are many unscrupulous businesses that would rather take the risk and hire illegals at a much lower wage rather than paying the correct wages to someone who is here legally. Mexico, due to its poor economy in retlation to the US, and its close proximity to same, produces the majority of illegal immigrants coming to the US and taking jobs from those who have the legal right to be here.
Further, there are many in the US that feel, largely due to the weakened state of our economy, that we should not be letting in any immigrants at all, legal or no. This sort does not go strictly for the Mexican, though. Although the main targets are from Latin America, Caribbean Islanders and Canadians also take a good deal of flack, depending on locality. Really, no group is immune; everyone seems to get it from someone else, and not just in this country.
So there you have it. Although nobody is really immune from anyone else, Mexicans take most of the heat because they produce most of the illegal immigrants to the US.

Well..being the #1 troll in Immigration I think I can honestly say that the majority of the regulars in here are not racist whether they are anti-illegals or moderate-realists.

But yes saying something racist gets many more stars and thumbs up than saying something thoughtful. I think it is because such behavior is much more common online where people do it because 1. they Can and 2. because there will always be other people like them to give support..

And hey it is much more easy to say stupid stuff and be hatefull than it is to actualy Think and try to be understanding.

It is NOT more popular to be a racist.

On this site it's more popular to be against ILLEGAL ALIENS(from any country) than a racist.

A few facts here.
All countries have immigration laws.
All countries enforce them.
Illegal aliens from 188 countries were deported last year (from the U.S.).
Citizens and legal immigrants (of any country) have the right to demand their government enforce its immigration laws.
It does not make a person a "racist" to want its laws enforced and its borders secured.

But racists posts, on both sides of the issue DO exist on this site though, in fairly equal numbers. There are those that like to claim only one side has racists and ignore the racist posts on this site from those on "their side". Anybody that claims differently is "in denial".

This is such a tired subject. People don't understand that mass deportation will never happen and the fact is that the gov't needs immigration. Obviously this make people fume, so they start bringing race into the subject because they realize they are losing the war and the battle. Watch me get all the thumbs down! I find that those that do not have logical reasons for their position on immigration resort to racist rant. do your own survey, read the answers and mark each time a racial slur is used, and profanity in a pro and com list. you will find out who the racist are.
I agree with that statement that everytime a answer/question is given it is just agreed with ,and given thumbs up and stars. A person does not have an answer of their own and need not think, just agreed and give a star.That seems to be the limit of their knowledge on the subject.

If you got here under the radar, without talking to the immigration department, then you should go home. We have laws for a reason.

The Unbias man, would also recognize racism on both sides of the table. I see alot of racist stuff about gringos, and they get stars and thumbs up too.

Edit: This site do attract the worse, but alot of racism is generated by a cycle of hate. One racist atack someone, and several people sees it and is overcome with anger, and respond to the hate. Some of them say something racist, and several other people see it and also respond to hate. All who come is not immune. I sometimes try to calm people here, and often tell people on both sides to visit another site for a while to calm down.

My thoughts are maybe people wouldn't support racists if minority groups didn't label everybody a racist!!! I am considered a racist just because I am anti-ILLEGAL immigration. Tons of people call me a racist for wanting a sovereign nation.
