What is so hard about mass deportion of illegals when you find them? This is AMERICA, we can do anything we set our minds to right. Its just a bus ride to the border right? Here's what I propose:

1. Enforce the existing immigration AND criminal laws, especially the aiding and abedding laws for businesses, and "safe haven" cities and churchs.

2. Immeadiately make all anchor babies under the age of 15 non U.S. citizens so they can be deported along with their parents, thus solving the "breaking apart of families" argument.

3. Pass a federal law similar the ones in Hazelton, PA, and San Bernadino, CA, and make it a crime to rent to illegals anywhere in the country.

4. Put all the men displaced by illegals (like construction workers) to work as deportation agents, and let them start rounding up the illegals and getting them back accross the border so they can come into the country the correct and LEGAL way.

What do you think? No hate speech please.

Shouldn't every American want people to be here legally? I would think someone moves into your neighborhood wouldn't you feel better knowing that person was there legally? I haven't paid much attention to the Immigration issues, so I was wondering what the fuss was about. I heard people comparing it to the Civil Rights era, but that maybe overstating it a bit, because I haven't seen any 'Illegal Immigrates Only' signs.

Honestly ... if I would have that ... why would I need to immigrate ?

The Emblem of the statue of liberty says this :

"Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me.
I lift my lamp beside the golden door."

Isnt a contradiction to the immigration laws we have now, to me it is.

I used to live in the southwest. I knew quite a few Mexicans, legal and illegal. Most are extremely hard working, very responsible, God fearing chrisians. The men take care of their wife and children, the women look after the home and children. They go to church on Sunday. Etc, etc, etc.

I really can't see how a person like this would listen to your average Democratic candidate, then listen to your average Republican candidate and choose to vote democratic. I guess they believe the lies of the dems for now. Over time that will have to change. Dems cannot keep people like your average Mexican for very long. They will come to their senses.

The vast majority of Americans do not want illegal aliens here and we sure don’t want to give them amnesty (again). Our elected officials should represent us, instead they seem to represent big business like Tyson foods and allow illegals in so that the Mexican government will sell oil to Shell. What happened to the democracy that we fight to bring to others around the world?

Anyone see history repeating itself - if citizens get slack during the summer months?
EXAMPLE :
Jose Luis Rojas, an illegal immigrant who acquired permanent residency and citizenship after Ronald Reagan's 1986 amnesty, is confident that a solution is only a matter of time.

"I came to America as an illegal worker and now I'm a citizen," Rojas said. "That's why I say to them just be patient."

Illegal immigrants refrain: 'Leaving America is not an option'

How come doing an illegal act gives you the right to tell citizens and lawmakers which options you will obey ?
Does it seem fair ?

I was not really happy with the answers the first time I asked this question, so I'm going for a second opinion here...

The whole idea is ridiculous! If America needs workers in certain fields, secure our borders, and start a good guest worker program. Let them come legally, and leave legally 2 or 3 year at a time. If they don't follow the rules they should be jailed on a work farm. Any other plan is total bulls,,t! And I'm tired of hearing that these people are only working the jobs that Americans don't want. I can tell you from personal experiance that is also bulls..t! Come on Americans, stand up! You will all be sorry in ten years when it is hard for your kids to find jobs... then you will understand. THEN IT WILL BE TOO LATE! Let it also be known that if the government is allowed to do this once, be assured they will pull the SH.T again.

Guest worker plan and secure the border! Finished!

How likely are illegals to report crimes of property or against their person? Doesn't that mean native born criminals are getting away with rape, murder, drugs, theft, bribery?

from ever paying them.

How much more of this lunacy will the American people tolerate before we revolt against these representatives who could care less about the unfairness they are trying to inflict on us? Why must we continue paying for the lunacy. It is insulting!

We all know that if Mexicans become the majority, they will vote a Mexican into office. They can care less about any Democratic or Republican party. Just go to any store in the country that is managed by a hispanic & you will see all of the employees (except "maybe" one or two) are also hispanic. I make it a point to ask the manager why there are no Black's or Whites, etc.. working there. They most of the time just stumble over their words & make up the excuse that only hispanics applied for the job. That is one group of people that sticks together & I think that they have an agenda. This is not being racist, it's just merely not wanting a person from a third world country coming to take charge of America. I do not want America becoming as corrupt as Mexico.

Do you really think that the new bill will better support illegal immigration? Believe me when I say the government has a trick up it's sleeve. Somewhere in that bill is going to be a trick to make these people have to go home. Just wait and see. The government will not stand around to let a third world country like "Mexico" come and take over as the majority! Just wait & see... this is just a trap to get them to finally go home & then shut the borders tight! If that's not it... then it's something else!!! I can't wait to find out the outcome of it all!!! Please... Don't try to play the race card, because I am a Black American citizen... not White!!!

I think the main reason people come here illegally is that their own countries are suffering economically. Granted the US has messed up Mexico and other S. American countries with suppporting dictatorships and human rights abusing govt's. But if we can fix their countires it would slow down illegal immigration.

It seems not.

I find the following excerpt especially interesting:
According to the mid-April USA Today/Gallup poll, only 12% of Americans believe the United States has made progress in dealing with illegal immigration in the past year. The rest are divided between those perceiving no change and those saying the country has lost ground.

Now that progress is being made, many Americans are whining.
WHAT DO YOU WANT?

I don't think so. If someone is undocumented and they get papers authorizing them to work lawfully, they are no longer "illegal." People are up in arms, so to speak, about what they ignorantly and erroneously think is an amnesty bill. There are already a number of ways that people who enter the US without permission ("illegally") can become permanent residents.

"It is important that the reformed immigration system is workable and cost efficient," Stanzel said. "Determining the past tax liability would have been very difficult and costly and extremely time consuming."

Stanzel stressed that immigrants would be required to pay a fine of up to $5,000 if they want to apply for a green card to become a legal resident, although that fine is not for failure to pay taxes.

Do you think that would mean ALL LAW ABIDING American's who made an error on their taxes will be 'forgiven' as well?

C'mon Americans! Keep calling, faxing and emailing your reps and let them know you're OUTRAGED!

Instead of spending millions of dollar offering amnesty to people who break the law, here is what I think we should do.

1. Immediately require all US hospitals to demand proof of legal residency, And take the money we save in our health care system to build the tallest wall possible across the entire border.

2. Deport all Illegal immigrants immediatly and keep track of who is deported.

3. If an illegal is caught a second time they are sent to a special court with no appeals, if convicted they are considered a threat to national security and summarily executed.

500 years ago European countries decided they'd all go grab colonies all over the world.

Many of those European countries had very oppressive governments that were intolerant of certain religions, (much like Islam today).

In North America, there was an insurrection against British rule. These white (mostly British) revolutionaries established a nation based upon the precept that "all men were created equal".

I think it was wrong for European whites to take land belonging to American natives. I also think the Constitution set it right again.

Here's where you may disagree with me:

It is for these reasons that I believe our borders should be open to ANYONE of North or South American ancestry to come in and go out freely. I think they should be able to work here, vote here, and have full rights while here. So should their children.

After all, who the heck are we (white people) to come here and tell native Americans where they can and cannot go in their homeland?
