Anyone see history repeating itself - if citizens get slack during the summer months?
EXAMPLE :
Jose Luis Rojas, an illegal immigrant who acquired permanent residency and citizenship after Ronald Reagan's 1986 amnesty, is confident that a solution is only a matter of time.

"I came to America as an illegal worker and now I'm a citizen," Rojas said. "That's why I say to them just be patient."

Illegal immigrants refrain: 'Leaving America is not an option'

How come doing an illegal act gives you the right to tell citizens and lawmakers which options you will obey ?
Does it seem fair ?

No. It's a long bill and it will take a while to debate it. They're also counting their e-mails and phone calls and seeing what position they should take if they want votes in the future.

It's extremely unfair to American citizens. Illegal immigrants and their supporters should be deported.

The entire idea of rewarding illegal immigrants with green cards is totally ridiculous. If we need workers for certain jobs, let them come on legal work visas, and then leave when they expire to allow for new workers to come. Yes, the government is trying to stall, and eventually give 12 million, or more illegals green cards. The whole situation is disgusting, and Americans need to stop being so quiet. It may seem like it is not going to effect you, but think about your children and your children's children. If we allow the government to do this once, they will do it again. All the new green card holders will eventually stop working the jobs that we need them for. At that point, these new green card holders will start going after better jobs, and we will need more people to come and work the lower paying jobs again. Write letters, get everyone you know to wake up, and do not let the government do this! Come on Americans! If we need workers, let the government secure the border, and start a guest worker program. The economy is bad as it is! The last thing we need is to flood our work places with more workers who will push us out of our jobs because they are willing to do the job for much less; because they are living 12 to an apartment and sending their money back home. WAKE UP! As far as these illegal aliens trying to get a better deal than is being offered to them, it's absolutely ridiculous that our government is even listening; it's even more ridiculous that they are considering giving illegals anything at all... besides a ride home, and after that, if they return, a jail cell.

The Senate had better get it together. 9/11 changed everything. This is a different reality than 1986. I hope that any state who has recall laws should immediately oust any Senator who supports this.

This is not a Right / Left issue. It is a Right / Wrong issue.

Grassfire alone already sent over 100,000 faxes just since the new 'compromise' was announced. They expect to send 700,000 by the end of the week. I think the Senate will have a long time to stall, if they take that approach.
