Why are stars treated so differently than the rest of us? She adopts on Thursday morning, meets with the U.S. Consular on Thursday afternoon. Is provided a passport in time to get back to the U.S. by the end of the weekend? Meantime, the rest of us have to go through mounds of legal paperwork and long periods of time waiting for Visa numbers to come available, medical examinations, immunizations, interviews etc. Something just isn't right with the system. I am applying for an immigrant Visa for my wife of two years and my two adopted sons. They tell me it will take several months or possibly over a year to complete this. Can anyone tell me why they (stars) are treated differently by the government? I mean I understand their star treatment by shops, resturants etc. But by the very Government that says all Men (Women) are equal? Any thoughts on this?

Here we go again with Mexico and the immigration of "cheap labor" for corporate America while we move closer to "slavery"! Bush is on vacation in Mexico selling out the American one more time before he gets impeached!
He was all for "cheap labor" for his corporate cronies, then crossed lines to appease the American people, and now back stepping in Mexico!
These same people claim to be "LEADERS"??? What are they leading us toward?? People in this country better get a back bone and step up to the plate because time is running out!!!!!!
Haliburton is now moving all its assets and corporate offices to the Middle East! United Emigrants ring any bells? Where anyone can go and corporate law doesn't exist? Where there are no extradition policies with the US? Where a company that has questionable actions involving 2.7 billion dollars of "inappropriate" billing? Where the same company that Cheney is a "behind the scenes" man gets "NO BID" government contracts?
How much more folks????????????

My best friend is gay, and is engaged to an Argentinian man. Although he currently holds a New Zealand passport (where they both live), he has been told that he is also eligible to apply for an Irish passport because his grandparents were Irish.
If he gets an Irish passport, he'll then be able to live and work in the UK for a few years - but what about his boyfriend? As they will already be 'married' by then, will his Argentinian partner also be allowed to live and work in the UK?

It is racist, because only Irish can celebrate it. They do not let anyone else celebrate it. I am so confused. What should I do?

I know I will get tons of flaks for this, and the term "RACIST" is not far in sight, either. But for those of you who have the ability to look at issues with a realistic/quantative/honest mind, please tell your stories without insulting or falsely accusing anyone. The key here is HONESTY and OBJECTIVENESS.

I'm over 21 years old and qualify to become a U.S citizen through naturalization (have been legal resident in U.S. for over 5 years), but my mom recently got her citizenship through naturalization and I was wondering if I automatically become one too or would I still have to go through the naturalization process?

their child is automatically a U.S. citizen. But isn't their child also a Mexican citizen because it's parents are Mexican citizens? I read once about 4 yrs ago that an American couple went to Canada and she was 8 months pregnant. She gave birth while in Canada and their baby girl was automatically a Canadian citizen but also an American citizen because her parents are. They had no problem bringing her home to the states after the hospital released the mother and the baby and the parents had to sign 3 papers at a court house. Their daughter will always have citizenship in Canada and America. So why can't America have it like this with Mexico and after a Mexican couple has a kid here, send the whole family back to Mexico?
