Only if you are under 18 at the time she becomes one. I'm over 25 and just got my official citizen cert. last week (2007) but I was a citizen since 1992 but didn't know. All I did was fill out a few forms and sent it with a fee of $240-250?? The whole process took about 2 months.

You only become a citizen if you are under the age of 18 automatically if a parent becomes one. You still have to go though the naturalization process I believe.

No, unfortunately since your mom just recently became a citizen and your not under 18. Your going to have to take the exam and go through the process. I became a citizen at age 18, but only because my mom was sworn in while I was still a minor- I was 16.

Since you are over 18 you must apply to become a US citizen yourself. If you were a minor your parents would have had to file for citizenship for you, if they did not you would have to apply once you turned 18.

When a parent becomes a US citizen, the children also become US citizens by affiliation. To be confirmed as a US citizen, you have to apply for naturalization.

It depends on your age and prior history. Think about the questions....they ak how you will defend the country.
Think Iraq and scramble well.
You will have to test and pass...George Washington will be one of the answers on that test, I guarantee it!
