Hispanic leaders, civic leaders, law enforcement, many business people, and too many ordinary people are participating in the violation of U.S. immigration (and many other) laws that underlies the language issue. Millions of people illegally come to the U.S. They are aided and abetted by people already here. An ever-growing number of people are violating U.S. law, exploiting desperate people, leaving a legacy of greed and forcing the U.S. into an overcrowded future.

We must insist our laws be obeyed and enforced. Hispanic leaders must turn in illegal aliens. Civic leaders must demand prosecution of businesses that use illegal aliens. Law enforcement must enforce the law and shame the Immigration and Naturalization Service into doing its job. Ordinary people must act before we leave a legacy of corruption, oppression and overcrowding.

It was always my understanding that the statue was given to the U.S. to symbolize liberty; it was never set up or constructed to have anything to do with immigration. Our liberty has been stolen by the immigration advocates and its original meaning has been corrupted by pandering politicians, uninformed citizens and hungry immigration lawyers.

Polls indicate that more than 80 percent of Americans want illegal immigration stopped and legal immigration reduced to sustainable numbers. What is it about this issue that the panderers don't understand?

1) Like other Countrys like US, all Immigrants would be investigated before they left their country, to ensure they are finacncialy able to support themselves, and that they had a proffesion that was of value to the Country

2)All succesful Immigration applicants whould be monitored by an appointed agency for the first 2 years of their residency. And would have to visit their Local Police Station, to have their visa stamped, to confirm their whereabouts

3) Any Immigrant, weather, through selection or through Asylum seeker, would have to work and pay taxes into this country for 7 years before they would be eligable for any free housing, free health treatment or any other benifits, thus deterring people coming here for a free ride

4) There would be a zero tolerence on crime, any immigrant cough committin any crime would be deported back to their country immediately with no right to appeal

State and federal officials are investigating a letter received by some Southern California Hispanics that says it is a crime for immigrants to vote and tells them they could be jailed or deported if they go to the polls next month.

"It's a very malicious and degrading letter. It's to pull Latinos down and make them afraid," said Benny Diaz, who is running for the City Council in Garden Grove. He said his wife and five other people he knows had received the letter.

The letter, written in Spanish, tells recipients: "You are advised that if your residence in this country is illegal or you are an immigrant, voting in a federal election is a crime that could result in jail time."

The truth is that immigrants who become naturalized citizens can legally register to vote.

In a letter Tuesday to state Attorney General Bill Lockyer, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger called the letters "racist" and "despicable," and argued that the perpetrators should be tried for a hate crime.

"We're never giving up our Mexican roots," said Maria Cantu-Dougala, assistant vice president of Second Federal Savings and an American citizen. "I still consider myself Mexican. That's where we're so different from other immigrants. We just can't give it up."

The United States must avoid "balkanization" and has to maintain its national identity, common culture and common English language "or we will follow the path to the ash heap of history like the Roman Empire," said Rep. John Culberson, R-Texas.

Shouldn't we be sending those jobs to Mexico and Latin America? I think if they had jobs in their countries, our problem with Illegals would diminish? Any thoughts? Better yet, how about getting all those manufacturing jobs back here. That way our uneducated Americans and immigrants could all get jobs.
