Shouldn't we be sending those jobs to Mexico and Latin America? I think if they had jobs in their countries, our problem with Illegals would diminish? Any thoughts? Better yet, how about getting all those manufacturing jobs back here. That way our uneducated Americans and immigrants could all get jobs.

Thanks Black Mule. Our govt. should be looking out for its people, They often forget they have a job beacuse we voted them in office. Giving manufacturing jobs to China is a bad Idea. Yes, they make it cheaper, but at what long term expense. It use to be that person with a H.S. education could get a job that paid a fair wage in the manufacturing sector. What will we do with these minimally educated folks now that thos jobs are gone. Last month we lost 15,000 jobs due to outsourcing. It used to be that if a person invested $30,000 in student loans for a college education, they could expect to earn a profitable income. Look what has happened with HIgh Tech jobs being sent to India. Now, Millions of college grads are faced with a huge debt burden as soon as they get out of college and no promise of job security, good wages or benifits. Corporate greed has created a cancer in our country and it is about time to find a cure. The repubs and dems are both in their pockets. Help us

Hey Angels,
Some stupid rich people in hollywood probably pay $200 for a T-shirt that was made in china. Has anyone questioned why Coach handbags are at least $200 and are made in China? Greed! Think to the past, our grand parents used to make everything here, and yet, by some miracle the were able to afford buying all of those things that were made in the USA. How was that possible? How were they able to do it 40 yrs ago but not today? It is because the CEO make a Gazillion dollars trying to figure out how he can pay his workers the lowest wages possible with out the use of slavery. I would gladly go to the $2 store to buy my crap if it mean that an American made it. In fact I went to Kohls and found a tank top I loved for $13.99 and I practically passed out when I say that it was Made in USA. I then bought one of every color.

Well the savings in freight alone might justify your idea about moving the labor to Mexico, but the issue is that labor is so cheap in China that even with the high cost of freight it's still cheaper to have the stuff made there and put on a boat. People are even willing to wait longer for it to come across the ocean because it is so much cheaper.

*NOTE*- The average time it take for something to ship overseas from China is 3-4 weeks, not including any problems at customs

Good question. I don't know what the difference is between wages in Latin America and China. It might be cheaper in China... If you think about it it would be 100% good for USA but like 80% good and 20% bad for Latin America though.

China has no longer declared conflict on US, even interior the darkest years throughout the time of the Korean conflict it continues to be a undeclared conflict. So provide up this nonsense please. ask your self some questions additionally a million. do american prefer to pass to artwork for $2 an afternoon making much inexpensive products? 2. do american prefer to pay $a hundred for a telephone or radio or denims or shoes like they used to extremely of all below $5? 3. did every physique compelled you to purchase 'made in china' or it is your own selection. i'm no longer professional chinese language, yet i m greater professional unfastened economic gadget individual, it ought to nicely be a extensive oppuntunity awaitig individuals. think of why Apple, Microsoft are making billions of chinese language jointly as some people pass on and on with reference to the cheap shoes and undies. If chinese language do no longer make it anymore, there are a number of others do besides. think of valuable, people! attempt to think of a thank you to you're making money from them, extremely than how did they make from you.

That's because Chinese are smart and work hard. I'm not saying Latinos don't because i know they do but the government in Mexico is crap. You really thing the government would give the workers fair wages? Yeah right, they want the money for themselves. Doesn't the US buy those things from China?

Because we are prepared to buy it, seems to fit the question.
Supply and demand I guess.
Dont have to buy there stuff. Haggle a bit and buy something thats made in the western world.
Remember when haggling, theres two prices, the one that sees you leaving with the goods and the vendor taking the money and the price which sees the goods sitting on the shelf and costing the company money.
Sorry if I digress but the same theory applies globally, I guess.

THE CHINESE HAVE CHEAPER LABOR. IF WE KEEP ALL THE JOBS HERE WITH WHAT AMERICANS EXPECT TO EARN WE WOULD BE PAYING 200 DOLLARS FOR T-SHIRTS.

CNN BREAKING NEWS- The Dow Jones Industrial Average closes above 12,000 for the first time.
HOWS THAT FOR YOUR ECONOMY
