I understand due to the laws they are US citizens but do you really think if the parents are deported they will leave them here? Also for the children that were born here and parents are Illegal, does anyone know the drop out rate as far as school for these children?
Im just wondering because if their parents go through so much trouble to give them a better life, then they damn sure need to keep their asses in school! Just wondering

All parents want what is best for their children. We all have freedom of choice and some just choose to drop out. Does not always go the way we want. A lot of dropouts are not anchor chrilden. Young people just have a mind of their own. They don't even know what their parents give up for them. Or even risk their lives for them. They just don't know.
Each year, thousands of women enter the United States illegally to give birth, knowing that their child will thus have U.S. citizenship. Their children immediately qualify for a slew of federal, state, and local benefit programs. In addition, when the children turn 21, they can sponsor the immigration of other relatives, becoming "anchor babies" for an entire clan.

People think illegals come to the US to have babies so they can become citizens. That's not true. I know because my husband is from Mexico. No one is going to leave their child behind! The only reason they come here in the first place is for better jobs. The crime rate in Mexico is a lot higher than it is here in the US. Latinos aren't the only people that drop out of school! You and everyone else should really do some research, and i don't mean on the internet! I mean go and speak to Hispanic family's. Do you have friends that were born in Mexico or any other Latin country? If you did you would be a lot more educated on the subject.

If a person intent is coming to America to have anchor baby, and drain the system that way soon as it born deport the mum and child, but then again that is most moral thing to do. Yet, the other side will argue about the ehtics of doing that. Personally we need a law to like Sweden has that prohibits anchor Babies, but at the same time we need immigration policy that reflects the reality of the situation there a demand for illegals to work jobs that people dont want, and guest worker program the one way to better account for people, and making it harder for people to expliot them. In General, Anchor babies and mums should be deport as soon as possible

I don't care. They have schools in where they came from. Or if they want to keep them here the illegals should leave and they could leave their children here.

Not all drop out....Some go to college and become productive citizens....
I think this is more a question of poverty and education....Some parents just don't instill these values in their children and being illegal has nothing to do with it, for it happens with Americans too, poor parenting is at the core of this problem......

You mean the Anchors around our neck?
The drop out rate is 50% before they graduate from high school.
And 25% of the girls will be unwed teen mothers.
Some go on to college on the taxpayers dime.
While taxpayers have to pay with "cold hard cash" for their childrens education.
Maybe America wouldn't have so many uneducated poor Americans if we took the money we use for illegal alien children ($12 Billion a year) and educated Americans instead of illegal aliens.

Both parents should be citizens or legals for the baby to have citizenship. Ship the illegals back and send the baby with them. (Born of illegals one or both parent) should not be autometic citizenship to the kid...........period

honestly i think the children should be deported also cause damn the people who do the legal things to become US citizens have to wait years why should they be instant when their parents are illegal its not fair to the people going about citizenship the right way
