I've noticed that on trips in and out of Saudi, so what? Have you seen the outfits Brits change into when they go visit the sun??
We've just had a few weeks where some Brits object to Muslim women wearing 'bin bags'!!
Is this the start of a new trend? if they don't wear them they are hypocrites???
Do you know any hypocritical Christians??
I cant really be ars*d to give you a list right now !!
I think all religions are hypocritical and worse than that they are downright dangerous!!

On the face of it it does seem hypocritical. But you need to think it through. These people are living in a country that's harshly governed and has very strict laws implementing Muslim norms. Perhaps these ladies and gentlemen are not that strict about those practices themselves but feel impelled to conform while in their own country for fear of the consequences, and then once they are out they can behave as they choose. I don't see anything hypocritical if that is the case.

It seems to me that if the Muslims wear traditional dress they are classed as anti British, but if they change to western dress they are then classed as hypocrites. The Muslims are therefore victims of racial hatred whichever way that you look at it, (eg they can't do right for doing wrong) by the attitude of the majority of bigots on these pages. Just look in the mirror at your sad live or crawl back into the gutter where you belong.

The law tells them how to behave. When they are not in that country, they are no longer under local law. It's the terrorists that want to force everyone to obey at all times. How many Christians go out drinking, or putting on sexier clothes to go dancing?

It may be hypocritical but its absolutely true. I have seen it loads of times, and also in reverse where the drink flows until 45 mins before landing and everyone suddenly becomes religious again.

No, not necessarily. Drinking is banned in Saudi Arabia as is wearing certain cloths. That doesn't mean that everyone there agrees with it. They go along with it in order to avoid being arrested.

This depends on their personal belief. If they were devout muslims, they wouldn't do it. Their behaviour suggests that they just pay lip service to their religion where it's compulsory and ignore it where it's not. If your country was run by a fundamentalist religious group, you'd probably do the same.

I suppose it could be seen as a form of hypocrisy. But it could also be argued they are adopting the values of the culture they are visiting to integrate themselves into the society they are going to encounter.
