Well, the first word, ILLEGAL, if you or I commit a crime, we go to jail.... And the citizens, of America are happy that another criminal, has been stopped. But yet they are fighting for the Illegal Aliens, which are also FELONS, so that they can stay here. It is pitiful, If you think about it. It is also Hipocritic, to punish one, and not the other.

2nd, They are draining our resources.

Probably crime, plus the infrastructure demand forecasts...do you want american cities to look like some of the places that these people are trying to get out of? LOL What happens when you combine -8 with 7?

The '6 kids at a shot on the american taxpayers' dime' crap has to stop...I say you want to turn around the illegal immigration problem do like the man said and 'turn off the magnet'. The border fence by ITSELF won't end the problem, but in combination with common-sense legislation to guide effective enforcement, illegal immigration can be stemmed pretty easily.
Now, the question is, do our representatives fully understand the scale and scope of the issue, are the voters willing to take the time to correspond in an effective fashion with them, and moreover, is there sufficient unity on the issue to carry through good immigration policy reform?

The world has changed a lot in the last 40 years, population-wise, there were 1/3 less people in the United states in 1966,
and there were 1/3 less people throughout the entire world, too.
Policies that worked in the past aren't cutting the mustard anymore, and immigration has become Big Business, with all the perils and pitfalls inherent thereto, especially considering that not ALL the business is legitimate, legal, and above-board.

My feeling is, 'good fences make good neighbors', and we should pursue development in other countries in order to help them advance rather than letting them move in en masse. In order to help others, you must first be able to sustain yourself, and if you have taxes go through the roof to try and pay for some politicians' crack-dream of uncontrolled immigration, you're writing a recipe for disaster, long-term. Some people in the corporate ozone hole up there may not see the need for countries anymore, but the concept of nations isn't yet obsolete, and probalby won't be for generations and centuries to come. My feeling is, OUR nation has done a really shoddy job on the borders...we can and should have a better standard, illegal immigration is far from being an insoluble problem, and the better our laws and enforcement of those laws is, the more respect other countries will tend to have, in that regard. We're one of the few countries on earth that is so slip-shod with immigration, the world has changed, our laws and our interpretation and implementation of those laws needs to change, also.

The biggest problem is the MEXICANS.........Stop the Mexicans crossing into the USA and you solve 95% of the ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION issue because Mexicans are the largest number of ILLEGALS. The other 5% USA can deal with but the 95% illegals Mexicans coming in droves are the biggest issue /problem.

It is AGAINST THE LAW! No law should be broken and when laws are broken there should be serious repercussions. The sad part is that we are saying "Okay, because you want to come here and work and make a living for your family (which is highly understandable) we'll allow you to live here illegally as long as you don't charge up our hospitals, over-pour our schools, bring up our crime rate and steal our good jobs." Which is wrong. Every person should be documented. PERIOD. I mean it's the LAW (very black and white) and there should be no gray areas. What's to argue?

The biggest problem is that our politicians won't enforce our laws.I say build the wall, repeal the law that give's children born in the u.s to iilegals the right to automatic citizenship.Remember calif. ex governor gray davis tried to purpose a law giving iilegals driver's licenses just so he could get the hispanic vote and win the election.I say all our politicians are corrupt and should be deported to mexico.Or maybe we should invade mexico and take over that way the iilegals would just be moving to another state, haha.

the negative effect it has on middle-class America....wages, jobs, medical care, quality of education, ID theft but most importantly how this issue has divided our country!
But on the positive side it has made middle-class Americans realize we not only need to get rid of ALL the illegals but also all of the "elected class" both democrat & republicans that do not support us in taking back our country!
No Amnesty (by any name)
Attrition thru local, state & federal enforcement
Repeal the 14th Amendment
REPRESENTATION FOR MIDDLE-CLASS AMERICANS

Tax paying citizens suffering without being given a choice. It's like a mandatory charity that most of us can't afford. Also their attitude of entitlement and demand for rights is a slap in the face to all of us that have been paying for them.
