Now THIS guy is serious. You note that the House Bill was just a carrot 'reelect us and we'll fund this - probably'. THIS guy wants it in place.

What do you think of Isakson?

I live in Georgia and lately I have been reading in the paper and hearing on the news about how we are faced with an extreme increase in the amount of immigrants residing here illegally in our state. Georgia has one of the highest concentrations of illegal immigrants in the country. The govenor, Sonny Perdue and his democratic opponent Mark Taylor, have made promises to fix the problem. Do you agree with either of them? What do you think needs to be done? Should we offer amnesty? Immediate deportation? Or should nothing be done at all?

ADDING INSULT TO INSULT: HUGO CHAVEZ UNLEASHES NEW ATTACKS ON PRES. BUSH
Yesterday, he called President Bush the "devil." Today, he made it clear he wasn’t finished with his red-hot rhetoric. Speaking in New York’s neighborhood of Harlem, Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez called President Bush "an ex-alcoholic" and "a sick man, full of complexes." That was just the beginning. Using more derisive language, Mister Chavez said of President Bush: "He walks like this cowboy John Wayne.” "He doesn't have the slightest idea of politics. He got where he is because he is the son of his father.” Chavez claims he was warned yesterday, after he described Bush as “the devil” before the annual meeting of the General Assembly, that "I should be very careful, because they could kill me. Well, I'm in God's hands. I'm not afraid." Mister Chavez alleged that an American thirst for oil prompted President Bush to lead an invasion of Iraq.

And does this only happen in the 'High Country", so to speak?

"More than 100 law enforcement officers took part in last week's marijuana eradication effort in northern Siskiyou County that officials say resulted in the confiscation of six tons of pot valued at $125 million.

On September 12 and 13, more than 19,000 plants were taken from the Maple Gulch area of White Cloud Mountain near Horse Creek, according to a Siskiyou County Sheriff's Department report. Another 6,000 plants, planted among manzanita, were taken from the nearby Barkhouse Creek area on the south side of the Klamath River.

Sheriff's Department Captain Mike Murphy said the plants “were very large, some of them 12 to 14 feet tall and 7 to 8 feet wide. We took out several dump truck loads.”

To be honest, this is not a joke, and goes along with an earlier post of mine about drug families starting to have drug plantations within our borders.

Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the
fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own
borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to
stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind
these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your
house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed
the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things
you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke
into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to
your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me
and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is
hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will
picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm
just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for
well, you know.....

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it
without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker.
Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?
Only in America ....
If you agree, pass it on. Share it even if you see the value of it as a good
simile.
If not, blow it off along with your future Social Security funds.

Ask yourself some questions.

Is this an election ploy to pacify the right so that Republicans can maintain power?

Do you really think the Senate will pass this bill?

Will the left tamper with the bill until it is unrecognizable?

Our hopes have been raised too many times in the past only to be shut down.

What do you think?

"The three House bills would:

-Impose prison terms of up to 20 years for those who knowingly construct or finance an unauthorized tunnel under a U.S. border. People who permit the construction of such a tunnel could face 10 years in prison. Sensenbrenner said 50 tunnels, used to smuggle narcotics and illegal immigrants, have been discovered along the Mexican border since 1990, and 36 in the last five years.

-Allow the Department of Homeland Security to hold illegal immigrants detained for crimes or as threats to national security beyond the current limit of six months, and set up expedited procedures for deporting these people. The bill also would make it easier to detain and deport illegal immigrants found to be part of criminal street gangs. It passed 328-95.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2006, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the Federal Election Integrity Act of 2006 by a vote of 228-196. As the legislative session winds to a close, H.R. 4844 is another part of the House GOP national security strategy devised to show political support for securing the nation at its borders and now at the ballot box. H.R.4844 seeks to prevent fraud in the election process by requiring photo identification for voters in federal elections. All states will be mandated to check voters' photo identification by the November 2008 election. By November 2010, states will only be allowed to accept photo identification that was issued upon presenting proof of citizenship. Eligible voters who cannot pay for identification cards will be provided one by the state at no charge. Costs for such a mandate will be reimbursed by the federal government.

There is currently at work in our nation a most dangerous killer. It consistently takes more lives than any disease, famine, or war we have ever faced.

Every month this killer takes more American lives than were lost in the entire Vietnam War. Every six months more die from its relentless onslaught than in all our previous wars combined or in all the fatal automobile accidents of the past twenty years. Every 2 to 3 years it claims more victims than the Nazi Holocaust.

Incredibly, this monumental devastation is carried out by medical professionals and is completely preventable. The name of this vicious serial killer is ABORTION.

Some pro-illegal immigrant activists were mad when the official 'Democratic Agenda' was released, with no mention of immigration. However the newly released "Hispanic Democratic Agenda" calls for BOTH legalization and temporary workers on the one hand AND the Dream Act to give grants and in state tuition to illegals on the other hand.

So tell me, if they plan to legalize all here, who is the Dream Act for? NEW illegals???? Oh, thank you so much for your dedication to solving the problem!

What do you think?

And what do you think about their having two different agendas, to begin with?

That they are just fed up with the illegal immigrants and the perks they receive or do you inside hate "Mexicans" and just use this topic as leverage to get out your anger and hate. It seems like if you were against all the perks than you wouldn't refer to illegals as Mexicans.
