i mean they have language translation like in banks, car dealership etc, they should be learning english if they want to live in u s, i am not racist, if you were to live in france or germany you have learn their language to live there and communicate with people and also to get a job, i don't blame hispanic people it is the american people who provide them with these facilities to attract the hispanic customers!

I do see your point and it is very frustrating however, other countries accomodate Americans like you wouldnt believe. Almost all other countries speak english and have signs posted in english for American visitors. I think that America has been absorbing the hispanic population because we are a melting pot. There is not one person here that can say "We were here first go home" except Native Americans. Hence their name. More over, more people speak spanish around the world than english. English is still the language of Business but Spanish is becoming the global language. Be Scared be very scared.

If I went to live in Mexico I would want and need to learn the language so I could make life easier on myself. That would be the smart thing to do don't you think so , therefore we try to help the people that want to live in this great Nation. I think that is more than any other Nation will or could do for us. I see nothing wrong with a person from another country coming here and making it a legal issue. They want to live free and have a chance to own a home and have a good life so they should be allowed to do so and they should also learn the American language.

Ok look out. I'm Mexican that mean Hispanic and American, why? Because I speak spanish (Hispanic) and I'm from this Continent (America). Also if the Banks, Car Dealerships, Departments, Any Stores in the US and others give us spanish services because everyday the comunity grows and think about this: Who has more chance to get more customers? The one talking just one language or the one who can speak more than one?

The countries you mentioned are usually not monolingual. It's not uncommon in Europe for individuals to speak over 3 or more languages. The more languages the better. By now the United States should be more advanced since so many people came here from all over the world. Don't be stubborn to blend with the world.

Ask the marketing experts...I think they are realizing that what was a minority is now a majority, and they are targeting that particular group...why? because they have money and it's a largely untapped market. So blame it all on greed, like everything else that is wrong in this country. By the way, why not learn Spanish? It's a beautiful language and Latino/Latinas have a beautiful culture.

No it's not the American people who do these things it's politicians and activists that threaten to sue companies if they don't provide spanish speaking options, and it isn't just Spanish either. ANd you are right if you move to any other country in the world you have to learn their language even Mexico.

Private businesses want customers and what they do has nothing to do with the opinion of voters. It is revenue oriented.
Some of the language stuff isn't because of immigration it is because of NAFTA. When companies ship freely between three countries with three languages, they tend to put all or the most applicable languages on their boxes just because it is cheaper than printing different boxes for each destination.

America is what it is because of immigrants. After all, other than Native Americans we are all decendants of immigrants. Legal immigrants. From Asian, to Irish, to nearly any other country the people entered this country wanting to BECOME Americans. I understand and encourage pride in where you come from, but it is obvious that most of the hispanic people do not want to become citizens. They come here for the sole purpose of taking a job that should belong to a tax paying, english speaking citizen. They do not wave American flags, they wave Mexican flags. Many are in this country illegally, and have the gall to protest in our streets against unfair treatment by our government!!! I don't get where they feel they have any rights at all.

I think it is a minority that makes this happen. But on the other hand their is a minority of hispanic people that make Americans feel like this. If both sides would grow up and respect other humans, there would be no issues.

Two things are happening here. One the PC World is out of control, our society today is so concerned with offending those who have no problem offending our laws that we comprimise our own National Identity to accomidate Criminals.
Secondly, Politicians and Businesses have exploited America for profit by accomidating illegal hiring practices of illegals who are willing to work for unlawfully low wages instead of utilizing the welfare class and the poor that we already have.
Therefore while we hands over money to lazy people, we exploit for our own benefit a foreigner who is simply looking for a better life.
There's a special place in the afterlife for those who do this....
