Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration. Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, make it harder to sneak into the country and, once here, to stay indefinetly.

Let see if I correctly inderstand the thinking behind these protests:
Lets say I break into your house. Lets say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say " I've made all the beds and washed the clothes and did the dishes and swpet the floors; I've done all the things you dont like to do. I'm harworking and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benifits to me and my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hardworking and honest, except for the breaking in part.)

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. Its only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I am just trying to better myself. Im hard working and honest, um, except for well, you know. And what a deal it is for me! I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-homewrecker. Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me."

This is someone elses words, I just agreed, would like to know what others think of it.

First of all no one has any right to break in anyones house or tresspass on their property. Second, it does not matter what "good" things they have done in the home, they still tresspassed and should be delt with accordingly. If anyone wants a job, they need to try to get one just like anyone else. If they believe they are hard working then that's fine but breaking the law is something else totally different and should not be used to justify why they even broke in in the first place.
I hope I got this right b'cause I'm still some what confused. The point is made.

i ought to call the police. I dont care how efficient they were being cleansing up my domicile or how a lot money they threw at me. per chance I didnt desire my domicile wiped clean. or per chance i had to pay my personal tax. Thats the adaptation between coming the following legally (knocking at the front door), and coming the following illegally (sneaking threw the back door). If I went to Mexico illegally, I wouldnt get all the loose clinical care, welfare, jobs, translators, and different reward the illegals get the following interior the States. merely look at how Guatemalan immigrants are dealt with in Mexico. So, its about time we began laying down the regulation on those human beings, because if we dont, its going to value us a lot more advantageous than it ought to preserving song of them and/or deporting them.

I think if you are going to enter another country regardless of what nationality you should do it legally. If you don't you break the law and must pay the penalty for breaking the law.

I think the person who wrote those words needs to get the hell off the continent, unless he is native North American, or at least partly so. Americans stole the land from the natives, then have the gall to say that descendents ofnatives they pushed into another country cannot come back and claim their heritage.

If someone breaks into my house they will be shot (right to bear arms)
I'll have to make sure they fall away from my front door, not inside my home. I can be sued for that.

I totally agree. Illegal is illegal. That's all there is to it. Not about race. Just about legality.

This has nothing really to do with your question, but if you broke into my house you wouldn't be physically *able* to leave. Trust me.
