Recently large demonstrations have taken place across the country protesting the
fact that Congress is finally addressing the issue of illegal immigration.
Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own
borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to
stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind
these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your
house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed
the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things
you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke
into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to
your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me
and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is
hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part).

If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will
picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.
It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm
just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest, um, except for
well, you know.....

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it
without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker.
Oh yeah, and I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?
Only in America ....
If you agree, pass it on. Share it even if you see the value of it as a good
simile.
If not, blow it off along with your future Social Security funds.

you people who are 'bored' and can't read more than two words are either extremely lazy or stupid and are usually the ones complaining about how bad things are....if you don't want to be informed or try to change things then just stay exactly like you are.

Thank God I'm not alone.

It is unfair to put a strain on our economy, with our tax dollars, that illegal immigrants ARE NOT PAYING. Every single country has immigrants who come here. I'm ok with that. Thats how our country was founded. And every single country also has illegal immigrants who come here. There in lies the problem. It is a largely accepted form of stealing. And as an American, I'm saying that its not ok. Get here legally, or get the hell out!

I don't want to hear a single "your ancestors were immigrants remark" because when my ancestors came here, there were no laws to break, as the country The United States of America didn't exist. Ya, we stole it from the Native Americans (who themselves are natives of Asia) but, thats what people did. Thats how countries were formed. A bunch of humans left Africa, and we've been stealing land from one another ever since. And Mexicans ESPECIALLY shouldn't be calling it their native land, as they are part Spanish.

he never gave crazy or common sense to us. It was us that have such a large ego that we lost common sense and replaced it with ignorance. Though some of us still have logic. We were just made the way we are. God didn't want to change our sense or else that takes away free will. He left it all to us and most of us end up killing people and being stupid.

amazing isn't it how to some the unfairness to the american ppl is acceptable. and i think its hilarious that some of those who posted weren't even smart enough to read a few paragraphs and those that disagreed with you were rude and nasty...guess that says a lot about them though. personally i have no problem immigrants coming here as long as they do it legally and the really weird thing is here in georgia the immigration dept. will actually walk them through the process ! no penalties. anyway, good post, i loved it and it spoke the unadulterated truth....some ppl just can't handle the truth !

This is the greatest point on this topic I've ever had the privilege to read... I'll be sending it to alot of people... I'm not racist or a bad person... My family and I are hard working American citizens and we still fight to put food on the table.... Why is it that We can barely take care of ourselves and these people still want something from us... I know that it isn't directed at me specifically but I hate illegal immigration... And I know people will say that Immigration is how I got here, Well they're wrong.... I'm Native American so I don't want that used on me... My people were here first.... Sorry I had to get that off my chest...

All I can say to this is your right you have a most valide point.
America has lost all sense of right and wrong the aclou has brain was American into letting thifs go free.
If I break into you home get injured inthe process I can then trun around and sue you for everything you have.
What is up with that?
You are right there is something wrong in America and it is that they have truned their backs on God and call themself god that is the whole problem in a nut shell.

I agree wholeheartedly. Here's an analogy for you. I have a small piece of land that my house is on. It's not much, just maybe an acre, but it's mine. Part of it is fenced, but other parts have signs that say "no tresspassing." One day, I walk outside my house onto my land and there is a fella in my yard. My yard! I did not give permission for this guy to be on my land. You think...either he's blind as a bat for not seeing the fence and the signs or he is just trying to defy you. Granted, I have pretty grass, a nice fountain with fish, but he's ON MY LAND! Instead of getting my permission to come onto my land and enjoy it with me, this person just blatantly defies my wishes and enters my property. Tell me...what is the difference between this and illegal immigration?

I hear the UK is having this problem too. Saw it on here yesterday.

I agree - These people think we should take them in and mother them to their every need - and when we give them want they want, they're still not satisfied. Facts are facts: They broke the law of the land and violated the policy of our nation. They have no respect for our laws and/or citizens therefore they should be deported and not allowed to remain in the USA.

Mexico is a parasitic state, if we nailed the border shut tomorrow, the lights would probably turn off in a week. They need to get their feet under them, and be more self-supporting. We can help em, just can't do it FOR em...
