➔ Immigration
Less than 2% of illegal aliens are picking our crops, but 29% are on welfare.
Over 70% of the United States' annual population growth (and over 90% of California, Florida, and New York) results from immigration.
The cost of immigration to the American taxpayer in 1997 was, (after subtracting taxes immigrants pay), a NET $70 BILLION a year, [Professor Donald Huddle, Rice University]. The lifetime fiscal impact (taxes paid minus services used) for the average adult Mexican immigrant is a NEGATIVE number.
29% of inmates in federal prisons are illegal aliens.
If they can come to this country to raise Hell and hold demonstrations by the thousands, why can't they take charge over the corruption in their own country?
We are a bunch of fools for letting this continue.

So maybe the ICE should build their own gigantic bus terminal, right in the middle of town, or something...Los Angeles is a great place to start in helping people to go back where they came from...legal immigration works, illegal immigration doesn't work.

Did you know that 83% of all statistics given are made up on the spot? Well, I guess it's 84% now, counting yours. Show me goverment studies. The L.A. times is a rag, but even they're smarter than to print trash like this.

Your damn right. The problem is bleeding hearts who are afraid of " offending" people by stating the truth. Most Americans know, and understand the situation and want to see it fixed. The problem is that most of us have been taught that " we the people" can't do anything about it, that it is the governments responsibility. We forget that WE are the government.
People, if you want things to change, get out and vote, march, sign petitions, something. Don't just sit on your couch and gripe. Government without involvement is self imposed tyranny.

So do tell me, if you currently live in one of the states that we "stole" from Mexico, and a Mexican (or 2 or 20) knock on your door and say "You're on my land, get out" Are you gonna say "Ok! Have at it! While you're at it, take the contents of my safe, my credit cards, my fridge, and hell, since you left yours to fend for herself back in Mexico, take my wife too"?????? Nope.

I understand where the frustration comes from. But one very important history that people usually neglect is California used to belong to Mexico. It is just that the U.S. took over the land after the U.S.- Mexico war as a victory gift.
I think we need to have some tollerance on the Mexicans.
The most important thing we need to remember is, the Mexicans ARE the Indians. We destroyed their civilization and settled. So we need to understand their chaotic life.
