father was british overseas citizen (britsh subject in Malaysia) and became british citizen two years before his death. I'd like to apply for BOC. Ho can I be a BOC and later a British Citizen?

They have been here illegaly for years and can't or won't learn the english language,they need an interpreter for everything,but yet they learn very quick to say racist and welfare with no help at all,who are they kidding?

Those of you on here arguing against stricter illegal immigration laws seem to only offer that as an alternative.

Why don't we just let everyone who can get here stay here? Why not? Why should we make them pay taxes either? They're trying to make a better life. They could use the tax breaks!

What is your solution then?

Of course they want a better life but why should us tax payers have to pay for it? I'm fed up with the people who say live and let live and immigrants are people too. Where's the cut off point for how many we have to pay for? Will our taxes just keep getting higher to cover all their needs? The NHS is already in trouble, probably not helped by having to cure all their illnesses that they've brought with them. SEND THEM BACK AND DON'T LET THEM BACK IN! Who's with me? Don't you want your country back, where you can say what you want and political correctness doesn't stop you doing so much? (Like flying the flag for England). Why should we have to pay taxes to pay for translators so the people who don't even know English can learn in our schools? Why should immigrants get housing and everything they need free, right down to their TV licence when our Elderly can't even keep warm in the winter and we have so many homeless on the streets.

From where I live we have all types of ileigales living here and from what I personally expierience they are the hardest working s**
and I don't see them in line using food cupons because they don't get that and they pay out of pocket for medical care I know I work in the med. field, and most of the times it is US the americans getting food cupon, social services money, section-8 housing and if you stand at the bus stop early moring the ones who are at the corner waiting to be picked up to go for a Chamba are the illegals not the armericans they only take the nine to fivers, of just don't even work and the majority who are having babies and on social servicesare the SO caled Proud americans these are the oneseating away at our taxes hello take poll, or do a survey in your neighborhood befor you cast your vote . leave the Chicanos out, call on the american to work.

I was married to my American husband for over 10 years living happily in my country in Europe. The only reason we decided to move to the US was simply for the kids, which have both citizen ships. We wanted to make sure they get the education from both sides of the world to open all possible doors for them.
I am constantly being accused of marrying simply for the green card.
On the other hand, if I wanted to get my American citizenship, I could have done so long time ago. Also I could have applied for my green card a lot sooner that I did.
We will celebrate our 21st anniversary in November....doesn't that give the message that it was love, and no other reason?
Besides, as soon as our youngest is done with school, we will move back to Europe...because this is where I belong.

i know of some people who think they shouldn't be teaching spanish in America , is this people aware of how enormous the spanish market is not only in America but in AMERICA ?

have us seen the huge number of spanish artist that come every year to America to entertain the spanish speakers ???

Mexicans can't come legally( they are constantly denied visas and can't apply for the Green Card lottery), so they pay $3,000 a smuggler to cross the border. Why does US govmt support smugglers? Imagine if those money went to US budget : people would be legal, pay taxes and contribute, so you wouldn't have a reason to complain.
If people could come legally they'd pay a lot more!
