Ignorance is a burden on everyone. Read some of the answers to other questions. Look at where your tax money goes, it is not
the educated we support but those who chose to drop out of school.
My children are all college educated - it was hard to pay for at times, but they can take care of themselves & they can be a
benefit to the country.

This burden will grow as other countries educate their people &
are starting to overtake us in education. We can only compete & keep our future safe by teaching the importance of education.

There's a lot of talk about Education, meaning higher education, but how high is your IQ. And how much do you know about life.

yeah there are slow learners, stupid people, etc.
I know people with education that aren't contributing to society.
On the other hand, there's people with less than high school that contribute to society more than most of us.
my cousin for example has a business, his father also has his business and employs close to 50 people. they didn't finish high school.
Education is overrated, I go to college and many times I get bored, I already know the material taught in classes, but I need a degree so I can get a job in interior design.
I have traveled since I was a kid and I've seen many buildings, many museums, art, etc. I've seen and know all the things that they teach me in art history classes.
My parents had an antique shop and they used to travel around the world.
I have read many books, because my parents made me do it, I ended up liking it.
So, yes it is a burden to go to college and try to get my degree.
I have to stand arrogant professors and preppies.

I've had a lot of formal and informal education, and as I read your list of questions, I can see you haven't. So, should I pity you, or get annoyed at you for asking a string of questions so poorly worded that they barely seem attached except to give a hint of envious bitching that you didn't get what others have. I'm sure if you sit down and think a minute, and take a deep breath of some CLEAN air, you MIGHT be able to come up with a concise question that will actually BE a question and not an attempt to sound like some demagogue trying to give some cheap political opinion on some worn-out topic. God Bless you.

That's an awful lot of questions. First of all, education is a wonderful thing. Ignorance is a burden that the ignorant don't even realize is a problem. Why? Because they're ignorant.

Secondly, you might seek some education yourself and find out.

Two things to consider, #1 where is this 'education' coming from and #2 education isn't always formal, sit down in a classroom and crack open a book education. I learned more valuable info getting mentored by a small business owner than anything I did in college.

No it is a lot worse if our children are ignorant. That is one of the biggest problems with illegal immigration. So many more children than were planned or budgeted for come that the classes are overcrowded and underfunded and what funds there are are predominantly spent on those who can't speak English. Our children are growing up ignorant and uncompetitive as a result.

It has to stop.
