Truth be told, America has never had a "Let em all in", policy. What we are seeing today is the same as it was centuries ago. "Let those in who will benefit the employers", policy is our true immigration policy.
Englishmen were bought in to first settle and lay claim to Indian land. Africans were brought in to provide slave labor and build the early foundation. The Amish were allowed in to Farm the outer reaches of the newly stolen territories and to forge further west. The Irish were allowed in to bolster the new cities with cheap labor. The Italians were allowed in to do the same. The Jews were allowed in as long as they assimilated and provide some early business Savy. The Chinese were allowed in to provide near slave labor on early western railroad systems. The Mexicans are now being allowed in because they provide the promise of cheaper labor for business and they degrade the aspirations of America's weak and sleeping working classes.

This is BS. I work very hard for my money and I pay taxes. I am not paying for someone else. They are looking for a better life by mooching on hard working Americans. We are losing millions of dollars in our hospitals alone by illegals not paying for healthcare. I dont have health insurance but I am a middle class 26 yre old white women with no kids - therefore I do not qualify for any type of assistance from my govt nor can I get healthcare. When I go to the dr or hospital, I pay for it. If I dont- they have my ss # and will jack my credit, But if I am here illegally - I dont have a social other then one I may have stolen or purchased, so I wouldnt have to pay. If they want to come here they need to go about it legally. I am the first US citizen in my family. My parents came here legally, they did all things correct and got green cards, eventually they applied for citizenship and became citizens when I was about 15 yrs old. I was at the ceremony when they became citizens. They contributed to this country when they werent citizens but they worked and paid taxes and had green cards.I dont understand why others can not do the same!
SOLUTION- stay were you are! Make a better life where you are. Pay taxes where you are. Live an honest life. If coming here means that much to you - apply for citizenship the proper way, apply for a green card. Dont break the law and make others pay for you.

Most Americans are immigrates somewhere in their past. But, I do believe that to immigrate a person should go about it the correct way. America not the only country that has this problem. Many who do immigrate do receive tax breaks and sometimes Government funding for X amount of years to get on their feet. The government funding may depend on certain circumstances. I could say more, but, no need, people not understand. They just know they were born here, but, had it not been for immigration they would have been born somewhere else, or, not born at all.

Listen, the US have a VERY strict policy on immigration, but you know what? That is good :) I live in the UK, and they just let people in, and if they're illegal, they're supposed to be deported but some people wait for YEARS to be deported. There is a VERY famous guy here, he's Muslim or Islamic, he has come over here, got a nice house, FREE electricity, FREE gas, his house is fully furnished, and every year, he smashes all of his stuff up for it to be replaced. And then it is replaced, and he's happy, because he doesn't work or pay taxes, he steals money from taxpayers. AND, in alot of places around the UK, there are THOUSANDS of Polish. They are living here. There's nothing going on in Poland to run away from. They can't get a job here, they don't speak English, so they sit on their bums and live off of tax payers money. This is what would happen to the US. I had to serve a guy at the Chinese place that I work, him and his friend were Polish and getting angry at ME because I didn't understand them! They come over here and they want everything to suit them, their religion, their language, their way of life. It angers me and alot of other people. Sorry for rambling, I hope this somewhat changes the way that you think.

Absolutely not. I don't want anymore immigrants we are over run with them. When immigrants started dicating that Spanish should be spoken in schools etc instead of English. I say get the hell of out America. THIS IS A CHRISTIAN ENGLISH SPEAKING COUNTRY.
I do not want non American born becoming President of the US either.
I worked for a school and non carrying green card people were attending school, working and not paying taxes. They made me angry as I was just making it.

My solution.
Every citizen works and pays their taxes.
People not to jump the que wait patiently until their turn comes just as those before them have done.
You say why not let those who get here stay here .
People need to be screened so that the criminal element does not come in and bring their bad behaviour with them.
It is a privledge to have the opportunity of immigrating to a new land not a right!
Take care!

If that happens Mexico will no longer exist because all its people will be here! It will be so crowded here that there will be people living in your backyard! If they want to come over here why not do things the right way? Yet they want benefits? I think that's not fair because there are a lot of people who have done things the right way in order to reside here! My solution is to continue being strict with illegal immigration!

No, definitely not!
Enforce the immigration laws that we already have on the books, build the fence, deport all illegals as they emerge from the shadows or try to apply for benefits or get caught using fraudulent SSNs, hammer the employers of illegals, get rid of the anchor baby law, stop illegals from receiving any social benefits WHATSOEVER, do not allow illegals to register their illegal children in our schools! Do NOT even THINK about another AMNESTY!

They already do. The politicians simply turn a blind eye towards illegal immigration and make a few false promises to do something about it.
