Judaism is a religion. If you practice it, you are Jewish. If you don't, then you are not. You will always have relatives who were Jewish, but that doesn't mean kids or grandkids must follow the same faith of their ancestors.
I don't happen to believe in the same religion my parents practiced. I joined a different one when I grew up.
Explore different beliefs and find one that rings true to you. There is no right or wrong religion because no one religion can possibly meet the spiritual needs of all the people all the time at every stage of their lives. Good Luck.

According to alot of Jews the answer would be yes, however that is because of the idea of treating being Jewish as a race issue. Jews are not a race or ethnicity, they are a religion, and religion is a choice. In fact I have always thought that was a good argument for people who want legal protection on what the govt calls lifestyle choices, such as gays. All religion is a choice,it is a lifestyle not a race or ethnicity therefore whether you're Jewish is as far as I'm concerned up to you,the last I checked conversion to Judaism was an option except according to the most vehemently conservative of Jews,so if you want to be Jewish be Jewish,or not it's up to you.

yes in the genealogy sense.....not necessarily in the religious sense. jews can be considered a race of people, or a jew can be a person who chooses judaism as the religion they worship in.
